Every year, the morning after the final day of Ganpati immersion, streets and beaches of Mumbai are layered with tones of litter – from remains of the Ganpati idols, plastic, flowers to other waste items. Everything ended up polluting the city and its water bodies. This is 8th year our IBDP students are taking the CAS initiative for Beach Cleanup in collaboration with CMCA a organization actively working for the cause of citizenship and life skills education to school students and youth in India. This year we have conducted beach cleanup drive at Girgaum Chowpati post 5th day Ganapti Idols immersion. Students have unveiled their dedication in the activity helping in cleaning the beach area. It’s need of time to sensitize future citizen of our country to be aware and active for their social responsibilities.

CLAP TALK
DYPIS have initiated an exciting and unique programme called the "Clap Talk", which invites International travellers from across the globe into our classrooms to have conversations about themselves, about the country they belong to interesting and unique facts about their cultures and the nuances of the language spoken in the country. It is a platform that enables a real exchange of stories for our children to listen and learn and accept and witness life in other countries. This also teaches them to be more open and compassionate towards what's different.

Trip to Balwadi,Panvel. :-)
“It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.” Following the footsteps of Mother Teresa, we,the students of IBDP Year 1 took a trip to Balwadi in Panvel ,in association with NGO as a part of our CAS initiative on 6th of August this year. We worked together to introduce the young primary school students to the world of theatre and technology, taking them beyond the four walls of their classrooms. This meaningful experience made us reflect that sometimes the smallest steps makes the biggest difference in touching the peoples’ lives and spreading happiness.
