Zionist Logic by Malcolm X featured in The Egyptian Gazette, Sept. 17, 1964.
Malcolm’s experience meeting the founders of the PLO and his meetings with Palestinians in Gaza led him to publish, in the Egyptian Gazette (which was edited by Shirley Graham Du Bois’s son, David), his essay “Zionist Logic” (Egyptian Gazette, September 17, 1964). Following his interactions with the newly formed PLO and his admiration of Nasserism, Malcolm became critical of the Zionist movement and especially of its relationship to new independent African nations. Malcolm believed that Israeli investment in African States was merely another form of European colonialism. But more important, Malcolm criticized the Zionist movement for its colonization of Arab Palestine.
On October 13, Israel ordered the forced displacement of more than one million people from northern Gaza within the next 24 hours, according to a UN spokesman, raising concerns for the plight of Gazans already trapped inside the blockaded enclave.
For 75 years, Palestinians have been violently dispossessed of their lands and forcibly displaced at the hands of illegal settlers, the Israeli army, and decades ago, Zionist paramilitaries. The first mass displacement, known as the Nakba, or ‘catastrophe’ in Arabic, took place in 1948 when Zionist forces forcibly displaced over 750,000 Palestinians from their land.

Israel’s massive air strikes on Palestine’s Gaza following Hamas’s biggest attack on Israel on October 7 have resulted in the mass internal displacement of more than 338,000 Palestinians in the besieged enclave, according to the United Nations.

Muhammad Ali visiting a Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon in the 1970s where he openly said, “I declare support for the Palestinian liberation struggle”.
This is a very important post by that exposes the myth of “civilian Israelis” and sheds light on the militarized zionist society and their militarized mentality in the settler colonial entity.
It’s important to understand this while we witness the Palestinian people engage in a decolonization battle and reclaiming their land, from Palestine to Lebanon to the occupied Syrian Golan to Egypt.

International coffee day:
From the ancient hills of Ethiopia to the bustling streets of early Islamic communities, coffee has journeyed through time, binding cultures and conversations. Through trade, its warm embrace reached the Ottoman Empire, Persia, North Africa, and later to European shores, evolving from mystical monastic brews to sophisticated Venetian coffee houses. Today, as the world sips on artisanal lattes and cold brews, the legacy of this rich history is tasted in every cup. 🌍☕❤️

Today we honor the memory of Mohammed Al-Durrah, who was martyred 23 years ago on September 30th 2000.
Mohammed, who was just 12 years old, was murdered in cold blood by the enemy in Gaza when occupation forces shot and killed him as his father attempted to shield him in his arms. His death came just two days after the Al-Aqsa Intifada began.
A Palestinian ambulance driver who tried to rescue Mohammed and his father was also martyred, and a second ambulance driver was wounded.
The scene was caught on video by a Palestinian cameraman named Talal Abu Rahma who was freelancing for the “France 2” television channel, and the footage of Mohammed’s father Jamal desperately attempting to protect his son would go on to be broadcast around the world and become a rallying cry for the Intifada and the Palestinian struggle.
Jamal Al-Durrah, who was also badly wounded, said his son died for "the sake of Al-Aqsa Mosque.” His mother Amal added, “My son didn't die in vain. This was his sacrifice for our homeland, for Palestine."
As the BBC reported at the time: “For 45 minutes, Mohammed's father tried in vain to shield him from gunfire as they crouched against a concrete wall in the Gaza Strip. The boy's father waved desperately to israeli troops, shouting: "Don't shoot.”
We will never forget. We will never forgive. We will never stop honoring Mohammed al-Durrah and all of our martyrs. And we will never stop fighting for Palestinian liberation, within our lifetime. 🇵🇸

On this date in 1945, the US launched an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima during World War II. Massive nuclear explosion that left thousands dead and 90% of the city destroyed. Three days later, a bombing in Nagasaki, another city in Japan, killed 80,000 people.
Since then every year, 6th August is observed as Hiroshima Day to raise awareness of the tragic consequences of the atomic bomb.
(But in contrast to that, there is buzz about a movie about J. Robert Oppenheimer, a wealthy white guy who assisted the US in developing the atomic bomb and dispersing it on defenseless citizens of Japan.
I am not saying that this film should not be made but despite having three hours of cutting-edge visual and sound effects, as well as some excellent acting from Cillian Murphy in the title role and a cast of top-notch supporting actors, the movie completely fails to persuade the audience that there are any redeeming qualities or moral lessons to be learned from the story of Oppenheimer. )
Hiroshima's tragic history offers lessons of profound importance. It compels us to reflect on the choices we make as individuals and as a collective, urging us to prioritize peace, dialogue, and understanding over conflict. May the lessons of the past guide our present and future, urging an end to all wars and heralding a world of peace. 🕊️

What is Nakba? The Palestinian catastrophe
15th may is the day of commemoration for the Nakba, also known as the Palestinian Catastrophe, which comprised the destruction of Palestinian society and homeland in 1948, and the permanent displacement of a majority of the Palestinian people.
75 years after losing their home, the Palestinians are still experiencing the “catastrophe.
When Palestinians commemorate the Nakba they are also marking the fact that the Nakba did not end in 1948, but continues in different forms to this day.

Remembering on his 85th death anniversary.
On the fateful night of 21st April, 1938, Iqbal calls in Javid and the little Muneera for a last meeting with the father. The children, oblivious of their father’s rapidly deteriorating condition, treated it as an every night routine sitting with the father. Muneera would often lay down on his arms to feel the warmth of her father’s protection and this night, she wants to stay a little longer. Aunty Doris, the children’s caretaker, when asking Muneera to come out of the bed because it time to go to sleep, is stopped by Iqbal who says: “Let her stay for a few more minutes, for she knows it is the last meeting with her father.”
The night advances into its darkest hour, which, interestingly takes place just before the dawn. An hour which Iqbal constantly mentions in his poetry. The time for Fajar prayer is just here. Iqbal’s friends are scattered throughout the property, in clusters of two and three, whispering and murmuring about their friend’s future.
He has refused to take any sleep inducing drug because he wants to witness the spectacle of death. As the pain increases, he calls out to his friends who are present in the room to fetch Hakeem Qarshi from his house, a great friend and doctor. Qarshi had just left Iqbal a few hours ago and at this hour of the night, it would be very difficult and inconvenient to go get him, his friends reply. Upon hearing this, Iqbal recites his famous Persian Rubayi which he composed a few days ago:
سرود رفتہ باز آید کہ ناید؟
نسیمے از حجاز آید کہ ناید؟
سر آمد روز گار ایں فقیرے
دگر دانائے راز آید کہ ناید؟
Translation:
“The golden era of islam will come back or not?
Sweet wind will blow from Madina again or not?
The last moments of this dervish (Iqbal) have arrived,
Not sure another opener of the secrets will come or not?”
