Buddha Sankisa Temple is located in Sankisa, India, and is a popular destination for Buddhist pilgrims. The temple is said to be the place where the Buddha descended from heaven after preaching the Abhidhamma to his mother. The temple is also home to a large statue of the Buddha and a number of other Buddhist artifacts.

Ramabhar Stupa holds a great religious significance to Buddhists all over the world as it is said that this is the exact spot where Lord Buddha was cremated and got Mahaparinirvana after his death in 483 BC. The stupa was constructed by the Malla Kings who ruled over Kushinagar when Buddha was alive.

The Mahabodhi Temple marks the most holy spot in creation for Buddhism. It is considered the navel of the earth, the place that will disappear last at the next end of the world and the place that will appear first at the next
recreation of the world.

Legend has that after Buddha’s demise, his ashes were divided between four of his disciples. This division was handled by a sage called Dona. Dona’s distribution impressed the disciples so much they ended up handing it back to him. Dona stored the ashes in a vessel. He further constructed a stupa to enshrine the vessel. However, currently it is a grassy mound.

Ghora Katora Lake, near Rajgir, is a very lovely and mesmerizing place. The horses of the Rajgir kings are said to have drunk water from here and therefore, the lake's form is similar to that of a horse. It is surrounded on three sides by mountains and is next to the World Peace Pagoda. You need to take the traditional "tonga" as private vehicles are not allowed. It's 6 kms from the main road and the journey towards this place is very mesmerizing.

The beauty of this pilgrimage hub has attracted famous personalities, including China’s Xuanzang and Fa Hien in times gone by.

DHAMEK STUPA which is also spelled as Dhamekh and Dhamekha is one of the most famous and Buddhist stupas located in Sarnath near Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, India. Originally built in 249 BCE during the reign of king Ashoka of the Maurya Dynasty, this massive and prominent structure has over time gone through several expansions and additions.
