They learnt eco-friendly practices which can be used while packing a lunch box for school. They o served their own lunch boxes and actively engaged in self-reflection & discussion.

दिनांक 31 अक्टूबर 2023 को आयोजित की गई मोंटेसोरी प्री-प्राइमरी बच्चों के लिए हिंदी एक्सटेम्पोरे में, प्रत्येक बच्चे ने दिए गए दो विषयों की पर्चियों में से किसी एक पर्ची को उठाकर उसपर लिखित विषय पर अपने विचार बहुत ही उत्साह और आत्मविश्वास से अभिवक्यत किए। बच्चे इस गतिविधि से बहुत खुश थे।इस एक्सटेम्पोरे कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से, छात्रों की भाषा कौशलता और साहित्यिक दक्षता को बढ़ावा मिला और उनका आत्म-विश्वास भी मजबूत हुआ। इसके अलावा, उनकी सामूहिकता और सहयोग की भावना में भी सुधार आया। इस प्रकार, यह कार्यक्रम उनके सामाजिक और भाषा संवाद कौशल में सुधार करने में मददगार साबित हुआ।

STUDENTS’ WORKSHOP
STORY TELLING
In a quest to ignite the flames of creativity and storytelling prowess, an engaging workshop on Story Telling organized by NBT (National Book Trust) for the students of Class V was conducted on November 2,2023 in the school auditorium. Through a dynamic blend of storytelling, music, and interactive actions, the workshop aimed to enhance students' creative expression while simultaneously strengthening their language skills. The Resource Person Ms. Simi Srivastava shared stories accompanied by songs and actions to create an interactive and enjoyable learning environment.
Students developed a heightened ability to express their creativity through engaging storytelling; incorporating music, actions, and facial expressions. Our young learners gained insight into essential storytelling techniques, including the art of "showing" to create vivid mental images for readers. The workshop created a harmonious blend of creativity and education, leaving a lasting impact on participants.

“Books are a uniquely portable magic.” - Stephen King

The reading programme is an essential initiative aimed at fostering the love for reading among the young Bal Bharatians.
For the months of September-October, follow up activities based on the timeless classic ‘Jungle Book’ by Rudyard Kipling were conducted for the students of Classes IV and V.

The children read the book with great interest and were encouraged to explore their creative side by making colorful and vivid face masks depicting various characters like Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera, Sher Khan etc. from the book and speak their famous dialogues in the class.
Our young readers also identified National Parks in India and marked them on a map. This allowed them to enhance their understanding and appreciate India's natural heritage.
The activities centered around "Jungle Book" were a resounding success, achieving the goal of combining fun with learning. Students not only explored their artistic talents but also deepened their understanding of nature conservation and wildlife.

The Numero Mania club at BBPS Gangaram, Pusa Road Campus organised the activity ‘Weighty Affairs’ for classes II and III on October 19, 2023. The club, Hamaari Bagiya-Young Green Warriors conducted the activity ‘Leafy Motifs’ for the students of classes II and III on 20.10.23. The activity was a creative endeavour wherein students crafted intricate peacock designs using pressed leaves. They meticulously arranged and glued leaves to form the striking peacock's plumage and body. This hands-on experience allowed them to appreciate nature's beauty and practice fine motor skills.

Prioritizing mental health is as vital as physical health. On 19.10.23, the activity ‘Happy Mind, Happy Life’ was conducted under the aegis of the club, ’Aware Learners’. Through the activity the students recognised the significance of mental well-being and engaged themselves in stress-relief exercises such as deep breathing, reverse counting, and exercising with soft squeezy balls. Additionally, they learned to create stress relief balls through a teacher-led demonstration.

COMPASSIONATE CITIZENS
Go Sharpener in association with PETA organised a workshop for the students of Class V on the theme ‘Compassionate Citizens’ on October 30,2023. The NISHABD (Compassionate Citizen) workshop aimed to raise awareness and foster empathy towards animals by exploring their emotional lives, communication methods, and unique characteristics. The workshop highlighted the golden rule: "Treat others the way you want to be treated” and proposed solutions and actions to protect animals like, ‘‘say no to animal bullying, avoid littering in water and on streets, seek adult help when needed, raise awareness about animal feelings, advocate against animal testing, and discourage the use of animal products.’’
Through engaging discussions and interactive sessions, the workshop laid emphasis on challenges faced by animals, encourage responsible actions, and showcase positive examples of human-animal interactions.

THEME – HARBINGERS OF HOPE AND HARMONY

The Primary Department, GR Campus organised an Inter House Vocal Music Competition on October 19, 2023.The theme for the event was ‘Harbingers of Hope and Harmony’. The programme commenced with lamp lighting ceremony to invoke the blessings of the almighty followed by a melodious rendition by the school choir. The judges, Ms. Archana Srivastva and Mr. Munish Shankar were cordially invited to assess the performances. Each house presented beautiful, thought - provoking melodies, relevant to the theme. Our budding singers sang soulful musical compositions evoking feelings of hope and harmony. Students dressed in colourful attires were lauded by the judges for their inspiring and enthusiastic performances.

The felicitation ceremony of International Value Education Olympiad was held on 5 November 2023 at ISKCON Auditorium, East of Kailash.
Atharva Keswani a student of class IX-G secured third position in the Olympiad in the category of class IX & X.

He was awarded a certificate and a bicycle by the Minister of Environment, Mr Bhupender Yadav and other dignitaries.

The project on bio-plastics submitted by Atharva Keswani, for the Olympiad, was also prominently displayed in the function.

MORNING ASSEMBLY
On October 18, 2023 , students of class VIII F presented their class assembly on two vibrant and informative topics Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and the festival of Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami. The assembly was all about the vibrancy of colours and chanting of mantras. The event was a perfect blend of nationalism and national integration of culture and art. The winners across inter school events were applauded and appreciated for their achievements as well.
