👉 Tip No. 4 - wellness on Vacations
👉 Let’s agree that over-eating and unhealthy snacking happens when we are on vacations. On top of that we eat food that is salty (high in sodium) which results in water retention.

👉❤️ Here is the final tip (also watch other 3 videos I shared earlier on wellness on vacations).

It takes our body some time to process the food we eat and to throw out the retained water. After coming back from vacations, eat lighter food rich in fibre and drink enough water. Let the body detox itself. Most of the gained weight is the excess food still travelling through your digestive system. Hence, don’t check your weight immediately after returning from vacations.

Check your weight after 2-3 days and you won’t regret your vacations 😇😎!

👉Travel tip 3: Healthy snacking and portion control

While travelling, ensure you control the portions and watch out for what you munch on. Here is what you can do:

👉 While on the way to your travel destination, we do a lot of munching on chips, biscuits, cold drinks etc. better carry home made roasted peanuts, almonds, cashews, fox nuts, dates etc. These taste amazing and are power packed.

👉 Eat in moderation, you can enjoy the morning breakfast buffet but ensure your dinners are light. If you have a drink or two, keep your snacking limited.

👉 Combine the food items well so that you get all of carbs, Protein, fat and fibre. The food that otherwise people eat on vacations is high in carbs and fats.

👉 Eat local food available at travel destinations instead of eating anything which you can otherwise get at your place itself. Enjoy the local delicacies of the place you are visiting. You won’t feel missing out on anything and would not feel stuffed too!

⭐️Here are some useful tips to avoid migraine attacks:

👉Have your meals at the same time everyday.
👉Avoid bright lights and extreme temperatures.
👉Avoid loud music and noisy places
👉Avoid chocolates, cheese, processed food, alcohol and smoking. In fact Alcohol and Chocolates are two biggest causes of migraine attacks.
👉Get enough sleep and avoid stress.

👉Vitamin C-rich foods: Vitamin C helps your body absorb iron better. Foods that are high in vitamin C include citrus fruits, kiwi, guvava, oranges,lemon, tomatoes, and capsicum.

Happy Karvachauth..

Here are a few important tips for Karvachauth fast to avoid acidity and migrane on this important day.

There are 3 phases of the fast. First phase is prefasting:

1. Today have your dinner as early as possible (try to finish your dinner by 6 pm) to give time to your body to digest the meal and to prepare for sargi.

2. At the time of sargi:
a. take 200 ml of coconut water (coconut provides electolyte to your body).
b. Include anar (keeps you hydrated all day) and banana (it is alkaline in nature so it stops acidity) in the sargi.
c. Include some soaked nuts (they provide omega3 n provide slow energy for the whole day).
d. Have only 1 spoon sweet as a part of ritual otherwise try to avoid sweets.
e. Include gobhi/ alloo stuff roti with desi ghee (apply desi ghee after removing roti from the tawa) with curd.
f. In the end have water after half an hour of eating.
g. Eat slow and listen to your stomach.

Second phase is Dry fasting:

1. Try to take proper rest or keep yourself busy with some work. Avoid using gadget.

2. After listening to the story, try to have herb infused water (infuse cinnamon, elaichi, cucumber, mint) to avoid acidity.

3. If you want to take tea then add some elaichi n cinnamon to the tea.

Third phase is breaking the fast:

1. After the moon sighting, have coconut water/ lemon water to give some electolyte to your body. Then have salad n then ritual food.

2. Don't sit after having the food, go for a small walk.

Note - Do not eat fried food and outside food after breaking the fast.

Before going to bed have jeera n ajwain water to avoid bloating (soak 1/2 tsp of jeera+1/2 tsp of ajwain in the day time then sieve and drink).

Well, the Right Choice is having either tea or coffee without milk and sugar. If you can't resist the temptation of a regular tea or coffee then Tea is a clear winner from calories perspective.

But ensure that you restrict your tea/ coffee intake to 1-2 cups a day.

As both coffee and tea contain caffeine which if taken in high quantity, can lead to anxiety, sleep disorder, heart burn and nausea.

Green tea is also a zero calorie drink similar to black tea and coffee (couple of calories here and there is no big deal) 😊. Stay focused...!!! 👍
