Dhantrayodashi, also called Dhanteras, is a significant Hindu festival that marks the first day of five days long Diwali festivities. It is said that on the day of Dhantrayodashi, Goddess Lakshmi emerged out of the ocean during the Sagar Manthan along with Lord Kubera. It is also the birth anniversary of Lord of Ayurveda.
On this day, people purchase utensils and jewellery, it is believed that purchasing utensils, jewellery or any big purchases on this day brings good luck, prosperity and wealth.

People beautifully decorate their house ,Pray, devotees keep a vigil and fast until midnight, the traditional hour of his birth and cut cake as to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna with enthusiasm and joy. In many places they play Dahi-Handi game. Also Temples are beautiful decorated with lights, flowers ,charms and swings for welcoming natkhat Gopala.

Raksha Bandhan is the celebration of the love of brother and sister. It is one of the auspicious festivals in India celebrated with great fun and excitement all over the country on the last day of the lunar Calendar month of Shravan. Raksha Bandhan in Sanskrit means ‘bond of protection’. In this festival, a sister ties the Rakhi thread on the wrist of her dearest brother and prays to God for his protection from all the evils. In return, brothers promise to protect their sisters and be with their side forever.
