‘Even though the Taliban regime in Afghanistan has managed to survive its first year in power, regime stability remains a major challenge.

🔻 Economic woes top the charts among all challenges. Inflation has been at an all time high with prices of basic commodities rising to 43% in a year as the value of the currency continues to fall since the Taliban took over the reins of governance.

🔻 Unemployment too remains high with 500,000 jobs being lost which might go up to 900,000 under direst of conditions.

🔻 The regime's decision to ban women from the workplace has badly hurt the economy leading to losses of a whopping $1 billion.’

🇮🇳‘The Indian Government takes a neutral stance on the issue of migration, it neither restricts nor promotes the process. This stance would be because remittances from foreign countries can actually invigorate the economic growth of the country and it can substantially cater to foreign exchange.

On the flip side, most foreign countries lack a sufficient proportion of nurses in their workforce, so to address their nursing shortages, the high-income countries have found India as a new source of highly qualified, English-speaking nurses.’

| "A perfect representation of how interests can conflict is India's choice to send two Russia-gave S-400 rocket protection frameworks along its lines with both Pakistan and China. This has occurred against the setting of the one-year-old administration of President Joe Biden in Washington that is pondering a waiver for India to keep away from punishments needed by the US Countering America's Adversary's Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA).

This show is ending up a trial of New Delhi's Indo-Pacific procedure and key commitment with the US, which have become more powerful since last year's grisly India-China line conflicts"

Both the EU and Poland have received considerable criticism. Nevertheless, this is not the first wall to have been built since the fall of the Berlin wall. Sadly, it will not be the last either. European fencing began as the 2015 refugee crisis peaked, but the situation has worsened."

OPINION I 🇪🇹🇨🇳”The sight of Chinese men in reflective jackets and hard hats has become a part of everyday life in Ethiopia. As the world watches, China is pouring in its funds, labour, and expertise to build industrial parks, hydropower projects, roads, railways, etc., across Africa. The fact alone that the new headquarter of the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa was designed, funded, and built by China exemplifies its influence in Africa.”

🔴”The beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic triggered the shortage of semiconductor chips and the subsequent lockdowns in countries like Japan, South Korea, China and the United States caused the chip-making facilities to shut down.

Since January 2021, when U.S. President Joe Biden took office, the semiconductor shortage issue has taken prominence in his agenda. For Biden, a steady supply of chips is important for job creation in America, to maintain US’ leadership in semiconductor manufacturing and importantly, maintain the U.S.’s role as a leader in Asia. ” 🇺🇸

Nonetheless, Turkey was an ally with the US through NATO for over 7 decades. The authoritarian rule of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is of great concern. Turkey’s polarized electorate could affect Erdogan’s unborn leadership. ” 🔴

🇵🇸🇮🇱”Israel has continued to impose institutionalised discrimination against Palestinians living in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT), including East Jerusalem. The imposition of coercive measures and use of excessive force by Israeli defence are threats to the right to self-determination and basic human and democratic rights of around 6.5 million Palestinians living under Israeli occupation.

It is estimated that over 64% of Palestinians in the Gaza strip suffer from poverty and 30% in the West Bank and youth unemployment rates stands at 63%, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics. ” 🔴
