"Today I went to Amwa vatika (which has been allocated to me recently) where I met Asha didi one of the members of Jaanki vaibhavi. I was trying to build a conversation with her to know more about her and her vaibhavi but initially failed to do so, as she was busy with her work in kitchen and was not noticing me at all. After waiting for a while I had an idea to develop the bond and learn more from and with her about the vatika and the vaibhavi. I went inside the kitchen and asked what she is working on, to which she replied she that she is making 'Rikavach' (A snack made by colocasia leaves).
The whole process seemed very interesting and I had the urge to learn the same. So, I took the liberty and asked her to teach me the recepie. She smiled to me and nodded her head. I got really excited and quickly washed my hands and sat with her. After spending hours with her I finally managed to learn the beautiful and tasty dish.
While I was learning the whole process I had the best time of this month. I was finally succesfull in connecting with her and to know about her. My learning from today's experience is that sharing abundance is not only a means of happiness and joy but a beautiful way to connect with people effortlessly. And I am glad I spent my day with her. So, today I take away a bag full of stories, traditional recieps and smile from my vatika. "- Sanjana.

Milky mushroom (Calocybe indica) has become the third commercially grown mushroom in India after button and oyster mushrooms. This mushroom is fast reputation due to its attractive robust, white sporocarps, long shelf life, sustainable yield, delicious taste, unique texture and cholesterol free food. Milky mushroom is also an excellent source of thiamine, riboflavin, nicotinic acid, pyridoxine, biotin and ascorbic acid. The locally available substrates for its cultivation, the paddy straw substrates are very suitable for the milky mushroom cultivation. It is basically grown during the month of May to September.
We at Drishtee are training women to opt for livelihood options which can make the community and the planet as a whole sustainable. With the summer season coming around, vaibhavi's start growing Milky Mushrooms by taking trainings from esteemed trainers, to continue having a sustainable business throughout the season.

"एक कहानी ऐसी भी "

कहानियाँ, किस्से या आख्यान काल्पनिक हो सकते है पर उस काल्पनिकता में भी एक यथार्थ का बीज जरूर होगा जिसने उस कल्पनिकता को जन्म दिया होगा। वह यथार्थ किसी का संघर्ष, किसी का विलाप, किसी का रुदन, किसी की शक्ति, किसी की कर्मठता, किसी का धैर्य, किसी की ख़ूबसूरती या फिर किसी का जीत हो सकता है। और इन्ही विशेषणो ने उस व्यक्ति से जुड़कर उसकी कहानियां या किस्से लिखे होंगे। और इसी संघर्ष, विलाप, धैर्य, खूबसूरती और फिर किसी की जीत ने एक खूबसूरत सफर को एक शाम, एक शानदार मंजिल से मिलाया होगा। और फिर सफ़र का मंजिल से जा मिलना अनेक कहानियो और किस्सों को जन्म देता है। हम अपने जीवन में अपने-अपने हिस्से का विशेषण चुनते है। किसी का विशेषण उसको जीत से जोड़ता है तो किसी को हार से पर जोड़ता जरूर है।
वैसे ही आज की कहानी अफसरी दीदी की है। मैं उनके हिस्से का विशेषण आप तक पहुंचऊंगा। कहानी उनकी है पर शब्द मेरे होंगे। इस कहानी में अफसरी दीदी ने अनेक विशेषण जोड़े है जैसे शक्ति, कर्मठता, धैर्य, सघर्ष, हार और जीत। अफसरी दीदी की सफ़र की शुरुआत आज से चार महीने बीस दिन पहले हुई थीं। यानी चार मार्च दो हजार बाईस। एक फोन की घंटी बजती है। अननोन नंबर होता है। अननोन है तो गॉव से होगा।
शशांक - हेलो
अफसरी दीदी - हेलो सर, नमस्ते! मैं अफसरी बोल रही हूँ। सराई बाजार से।
शशांक- नमस्ते! दीदी बोलिये।
अफसरी दीदी - सर! हम लोग भी ट्रेनिंग लेना चाहते है तो कल आप हमारे यहाँ आइये हम लोगों को समझना है।
तो कुछ ऐसे शुरू हुआ अफसरी दीदी का दृष्टि परिवार से जुड़ने का सिलसिला। कभी भी शुरुआत इतनी आसान नहीं होती। मस्तिष्क में उपजे हजार प्रश्नों से स्वयं का साक्षात्कार कर हम शुरआत की पहली निव रखते है। शायद अफसरी दीदी ने भी ख़ुद को हजार प्रश्नों से गुजारा होगा। और ना जाने कितने लोगों की बाते जो उन्हें असफल होने के हजार कारण गिनाये होंगे। पर धैर्य और उम्मीद की नाव ने उन्हें सफलता का स्वाद चखाया। गोरखपुर में हमारी स्वावलंबन की सोच ने एक आत्मनिर्भर समूह को खड़ा किया। अफसरी दीदी का छोटा सा समूह है, छे लोगों का। काम सबके बटे हुए है। जैसे एक दीदी जिनका नाम अजमेरी दीदी है वह दुकानों से आर्डर लेना और वहा तक अगरबत्ती का पहुंचना सुनिश्चित करती हैं। इनका काम सिर्फ़ दुकानों पर जाके आर्डर लेना और सप्लाई करना है। इनकी भी बराबर की हिस्सेदारी है। अफसरी दीदी ने कच्चे माल को मंडी से लाने की जिम्मेवारी ले रखी है और अगरबत्ती के रेट, क्वालिटी, और पैकेजिंग को भी देखती है। किसी भी समूह या वैभवी की सफलता का प्रारूप बिलकुल व्यक्ति के दो पाँव की तरह है, आगे हम तभी बढ़ते हैं जब दोनों पाँव एक साथ और ताल-मेल के साथ आगे बढे। और यह अफसरी दीदी के समूह में ऐसा ही हुआ। तीन सौ रुपये की लागत से बनी अगरबत्ती को अफसरी दीदी के समूह ने तीन हजार में बेचा। यह उनकी पहली कमाई थीं जिसने उनके हौसले को उड़ान दिया। वह दृष्टि और श्री महिला उद्योगी समूह एक साथ आगे बढ़ा है बिलकुल व्यक्ति के दो पांव की तरह।

'गाँव, रुख और हम'

गाँव की आँखे हमेशा से संवेदनशील रही है। इसीलिए इन गाँवो ने एक अपनी अलग परिभाषा गढ़ा हैं। गाँव अपने दोनों हाथों को खोल, एक कदम आगे बढ़ सबका अभिनन्दन करता हैं जैसे सागर तमाम नदिओं को अपने अंदर समाहित कर लेता हैं और अपने आप को कभी बदला सा महसूस भी नहीं होने देता हैं। वैसे ही गाँव अपने अंदर कुछ अपनी पहचान छुपाये होता हैं। और वह पहचान उस गॉव की खूबसूरती समेट उसका परिचय कराता हैं।
जैसे गाँव का वह खलिहान जो अपने अंदर उस गॉव का इतिहास सजोए होता हैं। वह खलिहान उस गॉव के अनेक रंगों के साथ-साथ एक बेजोड़ संस्कृती का सारथि होता हैं। और वैसे ही उस गाँव के एक कोने पर आम का बगीचा जहाँ उस गाँव की कई पीढ़ियां जिसने अपने-अपने हिस्से का अनेक खेल खेले होंगे।
गाँव अपनों को कभी ख़ुद से बिदा नहीं करता। आप हमेशा के लिये गाँव का हो कर रह जाते हैं। मरने के बाद भी दो गज़ जमीन, गाँव के एक कोने पर मुकम्मल होती हैं जिसे आप समसान या कब्रिस्तान के नाम से जानने हैं। आपके शरीर का एक-एक कण इस गाँव के वातावरण मे घुल सा जाता हैं।

देखो ना कितना बेरहम पत्थर दिल हैं वह शहर जिसने अलग-अलग ऊंची ईमारतो को अपना घर कहता हैं। घर की परिभाषा संवेदनशीलता और अपनापन पर टिकी होती हैं। उसने उस घर या सोसाइटी के गेट पर एक पहरेदार भी खड़ा कर रखा हैं। मुझे नहीं पाता की यह शहर किससे डरता हैं। शायद उनसे जो उस ऊंची ईमारतो को अपनी गर्दन उचका कर देखते हैं या शायद उनसे जिनकी फटी जेब से खनखनाते सिक्के बाहर निकल जाने को आतुर होते हैं।
मुझे उस गाँव मे दुर से आ रही हरिःकीर्तन या अज़ान की आवाज़ बहुत ही अच्छी लगती हैं। एक सुखद आंनद की प्राप्ती होती हैं बिल्कुल आषाढ वाली गर्मी के बाद बारिश का हो जाने वाला सुकून। मुझे फर्क नहीं पड़ता की उस स्पीकर से निकली आवाज़ मे हरिःकीर्तन हैं या अज़ान। शायद आपको भी फर्क नहीं पड़ना चाहिए।

ख़ैर! यह आम का पेड़ गाँव के एक कोने पर 150 से भी अधिक सालों से अपने मीठे रस से गाँव को सींच रहा हैं। और आपको पाता हैं? गॉव मे इन पेड़ों के भी अपने-अपने नाम होते हैं। शायद इनका भी अपना एक परिवार होता होगा। और उस परिवार का नाम बगीचा या बगईचा होता होगा। गाँव के सबसे बुजुर्ग रामनरेश काका को इस पेड़ से जुड़े अनेक किस्से याद आते हैं। वह बताते हैं की यह तोतीयवा ऐसे अकेला नहीं था। इसका भी एक परिवार था। बस यही अब बचा हैं। बाक़ी इसके परिवार वाले तस्करी के शिकार हो गये। अब यह भी अपने पुराने विकराल रूप का परित्याग करने लगा हैं। शायद कुछ दिन गिन कर बचे हैं इसके पास लेकिन फिर भी अपनी वफादारी पूरी ईमानदारी से निभा रहा हैं। इसके लिये इतने सालों का सफ़र आसान नहीं रहा होगा। ना जाने कितने तूफानों और थपेड़ो ने इसकी परीक्षा ली होगी जिसकी बदौलत आज वह 150 सालों से ज्यादा का सफ़र तय कर पाया हैं। इंसानी जीवन का सफ़र भी कुछ ऐसे ही होता है।
उसने इतने सालों मे अनगिनत पथिको को छाव दी होंगी, हजारों परिंदो का बसेरा होगा, और ना जाने कितने भूखे लोगों की जठराग्नि शांत की होंगी। वह भी बिल्कुल निस्वार्थ। शायद यह रुख बिना बोले बहुत कुछ सिखाता हैं। अपने अस्तित्व को बनाए रखने के लिए हमें निरंतर सिखते रहना चाहिए। सिखना! आगे बढ़ने की पहली क्रिया हैं।

In this event they shared their experiences and the journey from being a house woman to becoming an entrepreneur and making their dreams come true..
They explained about their business and showed their products and motivated every women present there to come forward and to do something additional in their routine life..

#स्टोरी ऑफ़ द डे… vatika meri kahani

स्वावलंबन एक बहुआयामी शब्द हैं। यह अपने अंदर जीवन के अनेक भावो को समेटें हुआ है। स्वावलंबन एक एसी निव हैं जिस पर इंसान ने विकास के अनेक इमारतें बनाई है। स्वावलंबन इंसान को रोटी, कपड़ा और मकान के साथ-साथ मन की आजादी का भी यहसास कराता है। एक ऐसा एहसास जिसे मनुष्य का मस्तिष्क समझने लगता है की हमें गरीबी से आजादी मिल सकती है, हमें सामाजिक बंधनों से आजादी मिल सकती है, हमें जाति प्रथा से आजादी मिल सकती है, हमें पितृसत्तात्मक समाज से आजादी मिल सकती है। इस भाव के साथ स्वावलंबन एक नवीन समाज का सृजन करता है। समाजशास्त्री हरबर्ट स्पेंसर की थ्योरी ' सर्वाइवल ऑफ फिटेस्ट ' आज भी स्वावलंबन के बहुआयामी भाव से जुड़ा हुआ है। स्वावलंबन हमारे दिमाग और शारीरिक क्षमताओं का विकास कराता है। यह हमें सहनशील, समझदार के साथ-साथ समाजिक भी बनाता है जिससे इंसान का आत्मविश्वास बढ़ता है।
इसी स्वावलंबन से जुड़ी है इटहिया टोला की संगीता दीदी की कहानी। अभाव इंसान को सब कुछ सहन कर जाने की शक्ति देता है। मुझे लगता है की अभाव का यह एक मात्र सकारात्मक पक्ष है। इस पर डिबेट हो सकता है। व्यक्ति कुछ देर तक अपने सम्मान और स्वाभिमान को भुल लोगों के उलाहने और कटु शब्दो के घुट पी जाता है। संगीता दीदी के लिये असान नहीं था मेरे लिये हर रोज अपने पड़ोसी से कुर्सी मांगना। मैं उन्हें बता चुका था की दीदी मुझे कुर्सी की जरूरत नहीं है। मैं आपके उस दबी चारपाई पर भी बैठ सकता हूं। आप मेरे लिए इतना परेशान मत हुआ कीजिये। आपका परेशान होना मुझे असहज कर देता है। लेकिन गाँव और उसके लोगों ने एक बार आपको अपना लिया तो फिर आप उनके लिये मुसाफिर से रहनुमा बन जाते है। और आपको पता भी नहीं चलता।
आपको इस तस्वीर मे सिर्फ़ कुर्सी दिख रही होंगी लेकिन मुझे इसके साथ-साथ किसी का स्वाभिमान और आत्मविश्वास से भरा होना, अपने कमाए गये पैसे से खरीदने का गौरव, कल से किसी से कुर्सी नहीं मांगनी पड़ेगी उसका विश्वास और चैन, पूर्ण रूप से दिखाई दे रहा है। यह कुर्सी पहली उपज है स्वावलंबन के बीज की जिसे हमने बोया है। यह स्वावलंबन की उपज ना जाने कितने दिनों से जेहन में दबी पड़ी उस उम्मीद और सपनों को पूरा किया है। ना जाने कितने उम्मीदो और सपनों को पंख दिया है। मुझे याद नहीं की कितनी बार संगीता दीदी ने लोगों को बताया होगा की मैने नई कुर्सी ख़रीदी है। शायद वह कुछ और सपने देखना चाहती है जिसे वह फिर से पुरा कर सकें। अब घूंघट रूपी बेड़ियां हटाना चाहती है। बसंत अपने दोनों हाथ पसारे इस बेड़ियो कि टूटने का इंतजार कर रहा है। कितना रोमांचक है या पल, चालीस सालों की घुंघट की बेड़िया चार महीनों में टूटने जा रही है। बसंत ने इस वातावरण में एक मीठी सी खुशबू घोल दि है। नई कोपले निकलने लगी है। सब कुछ बदलने लगा है।

#मेरी वाटिका मेरी कहानी


गॉव खिचड़ी यानी मकर संक्रांति की तैयारियों मे लग गया है। धान और गन्ने की कटाई के तुरंत बाद पड़ने वाला यह त्योहार हमें अपने जड़ से जोड़ता है। तिलवा! धान से बने चुडा और गन्ने से बने गुण का मिलाजुला एक बेजोड़ स्वाद है। और मकर संक्रांति के दिन का एक सम्पूर्ण भोजन। रम्भा दीदी ने इस भट्टी की कमान संभाली है। भुजा यानी लाई के बनने का का पूरा साइंस भट्टी के तापमान और समय पर निर्भर करता है और इसकी जानकारी रंभा दीदी को भलीभांति है। बच्चे दो मुट्ठी भुजा यानी लाई के ताक में लगे हुए हैं। दो मुट्ठी लाइ पा जाने की खुशी सब कुछ पा जाने जैसी है।।
समाज जातीय ढकोसला रूपी चोला अपनी जरूरतों के हिसाब से बदलता रहता है। उस परिवार से भी आज चना और चावल भुनने के लिए आया है जहां चाय के दो कप है जो कि व्यक्ति के जाति के हिसाब से निकलते हैं। दोनों कपो का विभाजन शुद्ध और अशुद्ध के हिसाब से हुआ है और एक ही घर में दोनों को रखने का स्थान भी अलग-अलग है । उस समाज ने अपने चारपाई पर बैठने की कभी उन्हें जगह नहीं दी जिसके छू देने मात्र से चीजें अशुद्ध हो जाती हैं। ऐसा उनका मानना है। आज रंभा दीदी निर्भीकता पूर्ण चना और चावल को तिलवा लायक बना रही हैं जो कि उस उच्च परिवार से आए हैं। आज समाज को समाज द्वारा घोषित अछूत बिरादरी से आने वाली रंभा दीदी के जाति से कोई वास्ता नहीं है क्योंकि उसमें आज उसका हित है। उन्हें आज ख्याल नहीं है की रंभा दीदी के छू देने मात्र से तिलवा अशुद्ध हो जाएगा। गांव कुछ विडंबनावो को लेकर चलता है। लेकिन समाजिक संरचना परिवर्तनशील है।।
पारा गिर रहा है ठंड बढ़ रही है। मुरारी इश्क में है। उसमें इश्क की नई कोपले फूटी हैं। गांव के बाहर बड़की पुलिया पर बैठा है। शायद वह किसी का इंतजार कर रहा है। इंतजार का दूसरा नाम धैर्य है। इस छोटे से इंतजार से वह अपने जीवन में धैर्य की महत्वता को समझेगा। स्कूल की छुट्टी हो गई है। बरसीम और बथुआ के साथ शिव टोला की अम्मा अपने घर को लौट रही है। दिन ढल रहा है। लोग शाम के अंगीठी का इंतजाम करने लगे हैं।

#मेरी वाटिका मेरी कहानी




क्या आपने अपनी वाटिका की सैर सूरज की पहली उषा यानी लगभग सात बजे किया है? अगर किया है तो आप मेरी आज के इस छोटे से किस्से से जरूर इत्तफ़ाक़ रखेंगे।
गाँव मे ठंढक ने दस्तक़ दे दी हैं। ओश की चादर ने पूरे गाँव को ढक दिया है। ओश रूपी चादर से बचने के लिए आर्थिक चादर का लम्बा और बड़ा होना आवश्यक होता है। फेरी वालों की हलचल गाँव मे बढ़ गई है, शायद वे गर्म कपडे बेच रहे है। श्यामा टोला की बुढ़िया काकी अपनी रजाई की मरम्मत कराने के लिए चार महीने से उस पुराने चावल वाली गठरी में पैसे इकट्ठा कर रही है। पिछली बरसात और दरकते हुए छप्पर ने मिल कर बुढ़िया काकी की रजाई भिगोई थीं। ठंड और गरीबी एक दूसरे के पूरक है। पांव फटते ही विष्णु टोला के राममंनोहर काका अपनी चार गाय और दो भैंसों के साथ उरमी के जंगल की तरफ निकल गए हैं। साइकिलो की झुंड गांव की पतली सड़कों को चुमते हुए निकल चुकी है। यह अब शहर के उस लेबर चौराहे पर ही रुकेंगी। गृहस्थीं सिगरेट का धुआं उड़ाते और रफ़्तार में उड़ाते नौजवानों का बाइक चलाना नहीं है। गृहस्थीं साइकिल का वह पैड़ल जिसे निरंतर धीमे धीमे चलाना होता है। इस बात को गजराज टोला के रमेश से बेहतर कौन समझ सकता है की जब वह शाम को काम से लौटेगा तभी चूल्हा जल पायेगा और आज छोटकी मुनिया का फेवरेट डिश चिकेन बनेगा।
बच्चों की टोली नीले-पीले वर्दी ड़ाल अपने भविष्य की कहानी लिखने प्राइमरी स्कूल की तरफ चल दिए हैं। उम्मीद है की उनमें से फिर कोई आंबेडकर बन निकलेगा। उनमे आज शाम को होने वाली आपसी क्रिकेट मैच की चर्चा चल रही है। कोइरी टोला की दीदी लोग धान की कटाई से निर्वित हो अब आलू और गेहू की रोपाई के लिये अपने खेतों की तरफ चल चुकी है। यह है आज के मेरे गाँव का मनोरम दृश्य जिसको देखने के लिये इमानदारी रूपी मूल्य की दृष्टि चाहिए।
