- Menstruation is a natural biological process where the uterus sheds its lining if no pregnancy occurs.
- The cycle typically lasts between 21-35 days, with the period lasting 2-7 days.

2. **Menstrual Products**:
- **Sanitary Pads**: Absorbent pads that stick to underwear.
- **Tampons**: Inserted into the va**na to absorb menstrual blood.
- **Menstrual Cups**: A reusable cup inserted into the va**na to collect blood.
- **Period Panties**: Absorbent underwear designed to be worn during periods.

3. **Hygiene Practices**:
- Change pads or tampons every 4-8 hours to prevent infections.
- Wash your hands before and after handling menstrual products.
- Clean your ge***al area with water and mild soap.
- If using a menstrual cup, sterilize it between cycles.

A pregnancy doesn’t starts at conception, the timeline starts even before you are actually pregnant - on the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP)

This is because it is almost impossible to point out the exact date when the s***m met the egg. Your time of ovulation and s***m introduction are also not helpful in predicting the conception date.

The pregnancy timeline typically spans 40 weeks or 280 days!

The confusion happens because 40 weeks seem like 10 months, but in reality, when you consider that a month has approximately 4.3 weeks (except for February), so it’s basically 9 months and 7days.

OBGYNs calculate pregnancy in weeks because of the rapid changes that happen during the course of pregnancy. Plus some tests are needed at specified weeks, thus making this tracking process more precise for management.
