“Ideas for Bihar - An Innovation Summit 2.0”

This post is very particular, it talks in-detail about the Event and how it evolved during the evening of 28th Oct in Patna.

The very purpose to organise a Tech summit in Patna for the 2nd consecutive year was to bring focus around the subject and make a Center of Tech innovations in East India.

With 3 focused sessions, stage was set for some serious engagements and exchange of thoughts.

Every session had veterans of the subject under lens. Idea was to bring the best minds come together and look for pragmatic solutions.

There was a super senior Bureaucrat, VCs, successful startup Founder, Director of a premier Management Institute and a Curator of one of the most Successful business shows of the television…!

Was a mammoth effort taken by the team Grand Trunk Road Initiatives, a space in which Bihar truly needs restructuring of sort, Technology!

In terms of Content and Reach, it was one of the most important gathering in Patna on 28th Oct 2023.

Highlights were,
2 Cabinet ministers of GoB, Shri Alok Mehta, Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms and Shri Samir Kumar Mahaseth, Minister of Industry along with Dr. S. Siddharth, Prin Secretary to Hon’ble CM, ACS Home & Cabinet graced the occasion as Chief guests.

Ministers were eloquent in the context and were well prepared. Since it was no political platform, speeches were relevant to the audience.

But, it was just the modest beginning of an Evening full of flamboyance, enterprise and edgy discussions but absolutely relevant to the subjects…!

That glowing yellow moon in Vincent van Gogh’s best-known painting, 'The Starry Night"? Research suggests that the moon’s bright lemon colour can be traced to Bihar. Vincent created his iconic moon using a blend of zinc yellow and a rare pigment known as Indian Yellow. The colour was popular in India’s art and dyeing industry, particularly during the rule of the Rajputs and Mughals. Its intense luminescence made it a popular choice for many 19th-century artists in Europe, from JMW Turner to van Gogh himself. But where did it come from? Research has revealed that Indian Yellow was produced by a small sect of 'gwalas' (milk men) in erstwhile Monghyr, presently Munger in Bihar. The pigment was extracted from the urine of cows who were fed nothing but mango leaves, with a dash of turmeric. This pigmented cow urine was clarified and dried in terracotta pots over wood fire till a yellow precipitate was left behind. This was then filtered, sun-dried and shaped into solid chalk-like balls called ‘piuri’. Two important posts from 2 leading institutions.
But, absolutely unacceptable data shared.
1. It’s unfathomable to not see Patna in the nasscom list of ‘next wave of technology hubs’ from tier 2 & 3 cities.

2. Inc42 Media putting Freshsharp which is in reality B2B and missing out on some very important brands like Bluemedix online Pharmacy with 159 physical stores across 3 states, has turnover of 73 cr. is unforgiving.

What we understand is there is a serious gap in such data collection, methods are prefixed, new territories are unexplored, poorly researched/unresearched.
Need better work people…!

That’s why it’s all the more important to make, ‘Ideas for Bihar - An Innovation Summit 2.0’ a huge success. An Initiative in its edition 2 should convey a strong message.
