DISTRICT PPH TRAINING PROGRAM 37 April 2024
Training programme held at Araria district hospital on 27th of April was successful . 29 nursing staff , 2 lady doctors participated in the training program. The topics covered were as follows

Active Management of third stage of labour
Management of PPH
Videos of intrauterine balloon tamponade , B lynch suture , Suction with panicker cannula was shown to them .
How to transfer a critical patient to higher center and debriefing was also discussed .
This was a very interactive session .

On 16th and 18th March many POGS members participated in the 10th AOGSBJ held in Dhanbad. President of AOGSBJ Dr Anita Singh gave the oration. President FOGSI Dr Jaydeep Tank was the chief guest

On 25th of March 2024 POGS did a health camp in the interiors of Sota Tola off Khagaul. Over 150 patients were examined and drugs distributed. It was done in collaboration with global progam India.

11th March 2024-
President POGS did an awareness program for 250 students in Budha dental College. Subject was cervical cancer prevention- role of awareness,vaccination and screening.

Celebrating the International woman's day.
Life time achievement award conferred to Dr Alka Pandey, past president POGS for her relentless and exemplary works for the women and POGS. Hearty congratulations 🎊.
The event was graced by Justice Mridula Mishra. Madam was felicitated by POGS as the woman of substance for her inspiring g works in the uplifting of women and their empowerment through judiciary.
Dr Narendra is graced the occasion as the guest of honour. He highlighted how education, employment, environmental and empowerment do hand in hand. Thank you.
Dr Himanshu Roy gave a talk on Endometriosis and dydrogesterone.

CME on contraceptive update- post abortion contraception. POGS in collaboration with Janani family care.
Mr Richard , the country head joined online. There was practical demo of MVA syringe and IUCD insertion By Dr Ranu Singh. There was active participation.

State level private service providers meeting with PSI.
Private providers have an important role in population stabilization and also in documentation of their work in health information system. POGS gives a whole hearted support in this direction. A booklet on family was also released on the occasion by respected AED BSHS Mr Suharsha Bhagat, IAS and Dr AK Sahi. This handy book written jointly by POGS, PSI and BHSH high lights the contraceptive methods and the road map to population stabilization.

30th November- multi stakeholders meeting for sensitization for consultation for mid wifery with BSHS, white ribbon alliance and other. POGS members participated and gave their inputs.
Dr. Meena Samant, President, POGS along with Dr. Nibha Mohan and Dr. Ranjana Sinha attended the State MultiStakeholders Consultation for Midwifery, Bihar at Hotel AVR on 30th November, 2023 organised by State Health Society Bihar. Dr. Meena Samant spoke on FOGSI's role in championing Midwifery amongst OBGYN fraternity to promote and advocate new Cadre of Midwifery. The meeting was felicitated by Centre for Catalyst Change and White Ribbon Alliance.
