Started in jest by 2 friends playing racquetball, it took a turn and became an official day when it was promoted by humour columnist, Dave Barry.

National Sports Day was celebrated on the 29th of August.

One of the sports that has originated in the Indian sub continent is Kabaddi.

A very popular sports in rural India, it has npw picked up in urban cities as well. So much so, that it is now a part of the Asian Games.

There are 4 forms of kabaddi, typical to different regions where it is played. Amar, Suranjeevi, Huttuttoo and Gaminee.

The advent of the PKL - Pro Kabaddi League has help polularise this very old sport and take to a new level altogether.

In honour of India’s remarkable space missions, India is all set to celebrate its first National Space Day.

This is to inspire and encourage India’s youth to pursue careers in the space sector.

We have seen an incredible increase in space theme cakes, ever since the launch of Chandrayaan 3 by ISRO ( The Indian Space Research Organization) in 2023.

The awareness and interest has been triggered in the little ones, and we are sure now, that even the sky is not the limit for them.
