For centuries, people have turned to music to help them heal, find their path, and become one with themselves. Even we’ve all found comfort and solace in music. The Khasi people of Meghalaya, just like us, have used music to bridge the gap between them and their ultimate peace. How do you look at the glass of your life? Do you think it's half-full or half-empty? Is it enough to just know? Or is there something we can do with our half-full for someone else's half-empty? The end is the beginning and the beginning is the end. If you watch this Original beginning from any point to any point, it still holds its meaning. The structure is such that it creates a loop of concepts, ideas, and thoughts through the words of the poem and the visual representation of it. So are you willing to give your half-full wave to someone else's half-empty tide? A Sutradhar Original Written by Toshal Gandhi Performed by Moushami Jaju and Gargi Datar Background Design by Omisha Gandhi

Half full Half Empty | A Million Stories
We’re in an age where our youth needs a dude with signs or motivational quotes to know what’s right, enlighten them and decide their life path. With so many offerings, so many things to grasp on, dilemma and confusion are quite the demons for all Young minds, the gen Y and Gen Z, whatever we’d like to term them. Here’s our take on exploring the realities of the young lot, like a lot of us too, live, thrive, try to fill in their empty glasses, while they’re already half full with privelege and support. Here’s a plea for us all to see our glasses as half full and recognise how we can help the ones that are half empty, and not in comfort. Written and Performed by Toshal Gandhi

Conversations with Experts | Dr. Meenal Sohoni | Mental Health Awareness
As the Mental Health Awareness month comes closer to an end, a number of questions have been raised for everyone. And not just about people who are struggling or are troubled, but also the people around them. ‘Caregivers’ are such an important part of one’s life but not spoken about enough. We had a conversation with Dr. Meenal Sohani to help us understand the prevalence of mental health in children and youth and the role of caregivers. .

What does the word ‘help’ ring for you? What does it make you think? How does it make you feel? How often do we reach out when we’re vulnerable? How often do we think it okay to ask for help? When was the last time you recognised a feeling of loneliness or sorrow or sadness and thought of asking a friend for support? Help, coming soon! Watch this space for more!

If you were wearing a mask and had to take it off, what would the world see? What’s something you’ve been hiding behind the mask you’re wearing? We use masks to hide our faces. In the more recent times, we’ve been using masks to protect ourselves, shield ourselves. But what if you could show your true emotions through a mask? What if you could use this mask to express something that you haven’t been able to otherwise? We use art and craft as ways of expressing what we feel, what we are, what we believe in, and what we think about ourselves and the world around us. And sometimes, we have all these hidden emotions that we need to bring to the fore, and in such a situation, art comes in handy, because expressing our emotions makes their experience tangible and sensible. That’s why we’ve come with ‘Unmask The Real’, a simple art-based activity for you to explore your emotions and channel them. 1. Get a piece of cloth of your choice. 2. Cut it and stitch it according to the steps required. 3. Draw or paint something that reflects what you feel strongly. 4. Put the mask on, click a picture, and voila! There could be something you’re unable to express explicitly, and you can do so through this mask! Add your own quirk and style to it, draw or paint or stitch something on it, let your emotions come out! Don’t forget to share pictures of your masks with us!

The term Superwoman Syndrome was first coined in 1984 by Marjorie Hansen Shaevitz in her book by the same name. Superwoman Syndrome occurs when a woman neglects herself and strives to achieve perfection in every role she is fulfilling and measures success or failure in terms of tangible outputs. How many women out there feel like they have to “do it all” and excel at balancing all the roles on your plate? Does that lead to stress? Does that lead to anxiety? Does that make you feel like you’re not enough? We are here to talk about it. Our NGO wing Createdu India Foundation in collaboration with Mahila Saksham Foundation presents a webinar to shed light on the topic of ‘Superwoman Syndrome’ with two amazing people, Ayushi Banerji from The Gender Lab and Aanchal Narang, a queer Affirmative Therapist.

Kuch toh Bol De | Krupa Tendulkar | Sutradhar India
Dance is a hidden language of soul. This coming weeks a few of our team Members will be showcasing performing art a little differently. As an experimental initiative, dancers will be interpreting a poem written by Toshal Gandhi which goes as ‘Kuch toh Bol de, dil ko lafzon de khol de” First up is the amazingly talented Kathak artist, our team member Krupa Tendulkar Here is her interpretation: The euphoria when you first meet the love-at-first sight is undefinable. That blissful state, when all your senses are acute for the beloved is beyond our imaginations. It brings us to feel the pins and needles, and the thrill of novelty. There lies a nervousness before confessing your feelings, opening up to each other. We’re often engulfed with the fear of unreciprocated Love, the fear of rejection. We tend to make the simplest situations into the most complicated. Let’s say the unsaid. Let us be free, free of complications. Let’s us feel the power of words, for this is what will bring us together.

Hum Sab Ek Hai | Keep a Check | Art Live | Part 1
“In a world where crisis hits us, we often think it hits us all the similarly. It hits each one of us differently. Our differences make us beautiful people, individually. However, the societal differences, define how we lead our lives, the choices we get to make and our struggle for survival. Here is a piece that I’ve written that reflects on how differently we’re the same.” -Toshal (toshalgandhi) Writing: Toshal Gandhi Music: Omisha Gandhi . This was a part of our Instagram live to #Keepacheck. Even as most of us are privileged to sit at home and be safe, there are tons of people out there who are struggling to get their daily meals. Here’s a request to all of you to not resist in helping. Al it takes is a little bit of what we have to make lives of many better.
