"THE ONE WHERE WE ALL LOST A FRIEND 💔"

Dear Chandler Bing,

They say he is just a character from a TV show, but you are Chadler Bing, a friend of mine.

When life hits you hard, breaks you in pieces, and then sends you an angel to bring you together.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. were the same angel for me, and today I lost one of them. And you Chandler, you never fails to light me up, but now nothing will be the same, it's not that I won't laugh at your jokes, but deep inside the void will be there and that aches.

I don't know how to take this departure of yours, the pain you left me with but I will keep looking at you and your amazing silliness.

Goodbye Chandler, always love you and will miss you and don't worry I'll take care of Joey.

Love,
Aakash.

RAM: SCION OF IKSHVAKU by Amish

⭐⭐⭐1/2

Ramayana, who doesn’t know it, but I bet you haven’t visualized Ramayana this way. Amish, the author of this book presented Ramayana in the most fascinating and believably infused with Ancient India.

As the title suggests, the first book of the Ram Chandra series is focused on the life of Ram. The eldest son of King Dashrath, despite being noble and sweet, was hated and blamed for the kingdom’s faith by both the people and the King, who by the way is his own father.

The book takes the readers through the journey of Lord Ram’s childhood and halts the story at Sita’s kidnapping to be continued for the further part.

Well, when I first started this book I was all hyped up because I was familiar with the work of Amish through The Shiva Trilogy, which I loved, even more than this. That’s where I was disappointed, in comparison the previous trilogy was more compelling and gripping than this one. Though it’s good and I can’t wait to go further into the story and find out how the rest of the Ramayana turns out to be, through Amish’s vision.

I found peace in your arms,
For in your arms I found things which don't even exist outside.
I got a home in your heart,
For in your heart I am alive and happy.
I felt like spring while you smile,
For your smile I can do anything.
I saw the universe in your eyes,
For in your eyes lies every beautiful thing in the world.
I feel loved with you,
For with you I am willing to go beyond the boundaries of death and reincarnation.

Man’s Search For Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl

⭐⭐⭐⭐

The title itself suggests what the book is about. Well, the book is non-fictional and focuses on the psychological journey of Viktor E. Frankl, i.e. the writer.

Man’s Search For Meaning was initially published in 1946 and is divided into two parts, first the writer’s experience in the German Concentration Camp and followed by the second part i.e. about Logotherapy.

Part one focuses on the life of prisoners from the German Concentration Camps and Viktor Frankl was one of them. The journey mainly focuses on the psychological conditions of the prisoners and lets us wander into the mind of prisoners.

Logotherapy is developed by Viktor Frankl himself, a well-known psychiatrist. After the Great War and getting freedom from the years of being torcher in Concentration Camps, people were in desperate need of guidance and so Viktor came forth with his Logotherapy.

The Book, Man’s Search For Meaning briefly discusses Logotherapy and its ways. It tries to give us the meaning of life and many other aspects of upliftment through one’s journey.

When I look at you, I didn't just see you, I can see far ahead 60 years in the future, me holding your hand on our deathbed going through our last gasp of air.

When I look into your eyes, I didn't just see your retina, I can see your vast love for me, which will run through eternity.

When I look at your lips, mine starts begging to touch them, wanna feel it's softness and moist.

When I look at your precious smile, i just wanna lose everything to it, to make it a forever.

When I look at you, I see light, full of love and so bright, ready to submerge me into it for life.

And when I look into the mirror, I see nothing, nothing which belongs to me, everything is inscribed with your name on it.

Eleven Minutes by

⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2

If you had read Paulo before, you’ll probably have some idea of what to expect from him. You are not getting into some regular storytelling but something more philosophical that forces you to think about the topic to an extent. And if you don’t know the writer, then welcome to a life-changing journey.

Eleven Minutes is narrated in the third person point of view and at the end of most chapters we get a present in the form of a diary entry from the protagonist, which is the most beautiful part of this book, the thoughts she possesses, and the way she feels is really alienated and beautiful.

Maria, a girl from Brazil who is working as a pr******te in Switzerland, occupied the central character of this story. In the book, I did grow with her from early childhood to her mid-twenties and learned alongside her the various feelings of love.

From early childhood and because of some incidents, Maria started believing that she will never find love and started running away from the feeling, but in her word, Virgin Mary has some other plans for her and she found love one day.

Eleven Minutes is not a typical love story where the central couple fell in love, then s**t goes wrong, faces complications, and found each other once again, and “The End” flashes as the drapes took over.

Loneliness, dreams, Love: both platonic and physical and Society. Paulo Coelho discussed all those through the journey of Maria and her choices in life. To get a dip in the feelings of pure love and pleasure, I suggest, you read this book.

Happy reading 😊

IT STARTS WITH US by Colleen Hoover

⭐⭐⭐

It Starts with us is a sequel to It Ends with us and follows the same story of Lily Bloom. The book picked up the story exactly at the moment the previous one ended, and gave a ride to us with Atlas and Lilly and their relationship. And I say it was a sweet ride, though I was expecting a little bumpy and challenging.

We get to see the story through both the main character’s eyes one by one i.e. Atlas and Lily. And Atlas, a character straight out of every girl’s dream turns the story into a hopeless romantic. The plot line is basic and adding a little drama would not have hurt the story. The Story goes on as expected, without any thrills and shock, and yes it left you with sweetness, but I craved spices sometimes.

And when it comes to recommending this book or not, then I will not say anything to you ladies, you all would have already read it, some of you more than once, but guys please go through this once so you can be Atlas, if not an exact replica then somewhat close to him.

Happy reading. 😊

IT ENDS WITH US by Colleen Hoover
⭐⭐⭐1/2
Lily Bloom, the story’s central character, literally blooms throughout the story. Everything revolves around her, as we set foot in the book I got to meet Ryle, and as it was giving a romantic vibe I got the idea that he will be her love interest, and it was quite fun to read how they go along because their thinking was poles apart.
The story was narrated in first person point of view through Lily’s perspective in present, and in parallel, we get to know about her past through her letters, her abusive father, and her first love, Atlas.
The Book strongly shows physical abuse and domestic violence in the story and how it’s affecting an individual and their whole life, and as a reader, I got to experience all that through Lily’s eyes.
Things took turns and I’ll be lying if I say I didn’t see that coming, actually you can predict things later in the second half of the story, well, not exactly what is going to happen but I get the feeling of what is coming next and how the story will going to end.
As a society, the book is a must-read for you because the topics the book is presenting are quite serious and it presents the sides of the abuser and the person who is getting abused in the relationship, and gets a chance of growing and blooming along with Lily.
