Sweet potato utilization in human health, industry and animal feed systems

Abstract
Sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas [L.] Lam) is an important root crop in most developing countries, which has not realized its full potential as a mainstream food in human and animal systems. The overall objective of the paper was to review the utilization of sweet potato in human health, industry and animal feed systems. Specifically, the paper summarized the biochemical, bioactive and functional properties of sweet potato; described the potential role of sweet potato in human health; highlighted industrial utilization and emerging applications of sweet potato, with emphasis on sweet potato starch and described the literature regarding the potential usefulness of sweet potato in animal feed systems. A combination of complementary strategies was used to collect information for the review including a systematic review of scientific, government and industry databases. The biochemical, nutritional, bioactive and functional properties of sweet potato make it a potentially good candidate for reducing the global food insecurity, vitamin A deficiency and improving nutritional status worldwide. The sweet potato has antidiabetic properties, that is, the capability to lower blood glucose level and improve glucose tolerance. White-skinned sweet potatoes have antioxidative, radical scavenging and antimutagenic properties and have been associated with reduced liver injury and blood pressure lowering activity. The stems and leaves of sweet potato contain potentially bioactive phytochemicals including chlorogenic acids, which have been shown to improve glucose tolerance in humans and high amounts of polyphenolics, which are protective against diseases linked to oxidation such as cancer and cardiovascular disease. Sweet potato starch has industrial applications such as sweeteners, citric acid, beverage, noodle production, industrial alcohol, ethanol, fuel and derived products as maltose. In animal feed systems, sweet potato leaves can be used as a protein source for growing pigs, goats, and chickens and for improving ruminant urea utilization. Sweet potato could become a more economically competitive source for use in human health, industry and animal feed systems, and can play a major role as a renewable energy source in the future.

रांची के युवा साथियों से अनुरोध है कोला कंपनी द्वारा बाइक महा रोजगार एक लालच मात्र है जिसमें कृपया फंसने की कृपा ना करें आज भी रांची शहर में हजारों ऐसे ओला कार कैब ड्राइवर है जिन्हें क्रेडिट गारंटी फंड ट्रस्ट के जरिए ओला कंपनी ने विभिन्न राष्ट्रीय कृत बैंक को के द्वारा गाड़ी दिलवाई है जिसमें बहुत सारे ऐसे ड्राइवर है जो दिन का हजार रुपे तक नहीं निकाल पाते आपको यह जानकर आरती आश्चर्य होगा यदि आप एक कार के दैनिक खर्च जैसे डिप्रेशिएशन कॉस्ट बैंक फाइनेंस स्टॉलमेंट ड्राइवर और डीजल जैसे कुल खर्चा को मिलाकर करीब ₹ डेढ़ हजार 12:00 पर्सेंट जीएसटी और 20 परसेंट ओला कमिशन जोड़ के देखा जाए तो एक ड्राइवर को दिन भर का ₹500 भी नसीब नहीं होता है अतः युवा पीढ़ी से अनुरोध है की जाने अनजाने में एक नया बाइक फाइनेंस करके कभी भी किसी ओला जैसे कंपनी में अटैच करने का प्रयत्न करें इससे तो आपको नुकसान होगा ही सदैव दिनभर की संकलित आय 500 ₹600 भी नहीं आ पाएगी और आपका समय दिन भर जायल होगा सो अलग यह मैं आपको बताना चाहता हूं कि एक तरह का कॉरपोरेट गेम होता है इन ट्रैवल टूरिज्म डेवलपमेंट जो कंपनी जितने भी होती है यह बाइक या कार जो भी अटैच करते हैं यह एक्चुअली बड़े कॉरपोरेट घराने के एजेंट हैं जिनका एवं जिन कंपनियों का कार या बाइक कंपनी के नहीं बिक्री हुए स्टॉक्स को क्लियर कराने का काम करती हैं आप को रोजगार देना तो बहाना है यह कंपनियां टाटा मारुति जैसी कंपनियों के लाइव स्कोर रिकवर करने के लिए गरीब तबके के लोगों को निशाना बनाकर उन्हें कार या बाइक फाइनेंस करवा देती है और जब ओला द्वारा सही बिजनेस एक ड्राइवर को नहीं मिल पाता तो वह बैंक के बड़े कर्जदार डूबने लगता है और अंततः बैंक गाड़ी कोशिश कर लोन की राशि अदा की है तू लगातार उस पर प्रेशर बनाए रखती है परेशानी यहां आकर भी खत्म नहीं होती अगर आप बैंक के कर्ज को नहीं चुका पाए तो आपकी संपत्ति में से भी नीलामी लेने का हक बैंक के पास होता है जिन्हें आप एग्रीमेंट के द्वारा बैंक को समर्पित कर देते हैं युवा दोस्तों से अनुरोध है जरा सोचें और इस तरह का जाल में ना फंसे निवेदक आपका विश्वासी अगर आपको बाइक अटैच करना है तो प्रॉफिट के हर पहलू को आप देख समझकर गाड़ी अटैच करने का प्रयास करें जैसे दिन भर का इंटेंडिंग कॉस्ट ड्राइवर खर्च फ्यूल खर्च गाड़ी का डे प्रिय सेशन ओला कमिशन जीएसटी 12% टीडीएस 5 परसेंट ओला का कमीशन 20% वगैरा-वगैरा ड्राइवर के खाने को भेजने जुड़े और इसे खुद डिसाइड करें बाइक ना लगाएं
