Inhabitants of Railway colony Baramulla appreciates the efforts of D/O Delina Showkat Ahmad for swift action against truck drivers ,who used to park their lorries at the entrence of colony.
Residents said that drivers park their trucks on road near FCI which cause inconvenience to railway passengers and colony residents. As per reports , residents brought the matter into the notice of SI Showkat Ahmad who acted swiftly against the drivers.
Truckes were displaced from the entrence point of the colony and commuters and colony members got rid of the jams frequently caused by these trucks.
Residents thanked SI and appreciated his way of policing.

Civil Society Doabgah and people of entire area requests # and to start electronic bus service from Sopore to Baramulla and vice versa via Ladoora and Achabal Doabgah . This route has thousands of passengers travelling on daily basis. But ironically no bus Service for the Students, Patients and General Public who have to travel throughout the day. Such people are left at the mercy of expensive cabs. Everyone cannot afford to pay exorbitant fare of cabs and everyone is not rich enough to own a vehicle. Now we request Baramulla to solve this long pending demand.
Moreover it will also ease Fruit Mandi Jam during peak seasons.

*INTERSTATE DRUG RACKET BUSTED BY SOPORE POLICE, ARRESTED A NOTORIOUS DRUG PEDDLER/SUPPLIER ALONGWITH HUGE QUANTITY OF PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCE*

Sopore, 23 February 2022:

In its campaign "war on drugs" Sopore Police generated a specific information regarding drug peddling, Acting swiftly Police party led by Incharge Police Post Watergam PSI Bilal Rashid under the close supervision of SDPO Rafiabad Shri. Ameen Bhat-JKPS, and SHO Police Station Dangiwacha Insp. Imtiyaz Ahmad on tip off, established a Naka at Ladoora crossing intercepted a suspected person which tried to flee after noticing Police Party but due to alertness of Police Party present they were caught tactfully. While searching 1520 capsules of SPASMOPROXYVON Plus were recovered from his possession and accused was arrested.

The Identity of the accused has been ascertained as Bilal Ahmad Ganie S/O Munawar Ahmad Ganie R/O Ladoora Rafiabad.

Regarding the incident case FIR No. 21/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police station Dangiwacha and further investigation into the matter has been taken up.

It is pertinent to mention that Sopore police has launched a full fledged war against drug peddlers/drug dealings and will continue its unwavering efforts to eradicate all forms of illegal drugs/social evils within the District with Re-invigorating anti-criminality campaigns. General public of Police District Sopore are once again requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling or any other anti social activities in their vicinity.
