☘️Lettuce is one of the yummiest and healthiest veggies you can include in your meals 🥗 and here's the reason why 👆🏻
While you may only see one or two types of kale in the supermarket, there are quite a few kale varieties, each with a unique look and texture.
Here's a quick rundown on the various kinds of kale:
☘️A kale of many names, TUSCAN, LACINATO OR DINOSOUR KALE, has long been a staple of Italian cuisine and is considered to be a hearty-cooking green that can stand up to a substantial sauce. Characterized by large, blue green leaves about 2-3 inch wide, this type of kale turns crisp with little efforts, rather than wilting under pressure.
☘️ CURLY KALE is the type you will most often see in the supermarket. Known for it's dark green or sometimes purple color and tightly wound curls.
☘️ Larger and far less curly than regular kale, the RED RUSSIAN variety boasts vibrant, reddish purple stems and flat green leaves that more closely resemble oak leaves or a blown up Arugula. What makes this type uniquely versatile is it's ability to be used as a baby leaf, as well as after its been left to fully mature. Leaves are best enjoyed when firm, vibrant and fresh.
☘️ REDBOR KALE is an attractive variety with red, ruffled leaves. It can be used both on the plate and in the garden as an ornament. With shades ranging from red to deep purple with hints of green it can be roasted and toasted with the best of them.
☘️ CHINESE KALE looks considerably different than it's crinkly brethren. It somehow manages to look as through spinach and broccoli came together and made a hybrid veggie, with large, flat, glossy leaves and thick stalks that can easily be chopped and cooked up exactly like broccoli stems. As with many Chinese staples, the best way to go is stir fry.
☘️ Though ORNAMENTAL KALE has been relegated to the floral end of the garden rather than with other types of kale, it's edible.

Did you know there are several wonderful types of basil and these 4 types are commonly known and used:
☘️Sweet Basil is probably the most common varieties of basil very popular in pesto, salads and marinades. Sweet basil is a medium green color with a round cup-shaped leaf and is known to repel mosquitos.
☘️Purple basil, most often used as an embellishment on a dish, has a flavor that is quite similar to that of regular basil. One defining feature is the rich purple color of the entire plant, including both the leaves and stems. This type of basil is a beautiful addition in drinks like lemonade and juice. The strong fragrance and brilliant color will immediately draw attention to the herbs, and will transform your meal or drink into a work of art.
☘️Thai Basil has smaller dark pointed leaves and boasts a spicy, licorice flavor. Asian dishes often feature Thai basil and keep its flavor at higher cooking temperatures as compared to other types of basil.
☘️Genovese Basil is the classic Italian basil with extra-large green leaves and is infinite in its uses. This is excellent basil to use in pesto and Italian dishes. Genovese basil has a stronger aromatic and can put some leaves in hot water for a flavorful tea.

☘️Did you know Swiss chard is extensively cultivated in Switzerland, hence the name "Swiss".
Word "chard" originates from the Latin noun "carduus" which means "artichoke thistle".
☘️Swiss chard is inevitable part of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.
☘️Swiss chard is excellent source of dietary fibers, vitamins A, C, K and vitamins of the B group and minerals such as iron, magnesium and potassium. 100 g of raw leaves contain only 19 calories.
Why is it a viable solution for future agriculture farming when the soil growing is still in place?🌱
There are several benefits of hydroponics over traditional farming and here are 2 deal breaking reasons why:
✅ Water Conservation: field farming uses so much water because so much of it is lost. Water evaporates, rolls away and puddles, making much of it unusable
✅ Our system use about 10 times less water because it’s delivered in controlled way and recirculate water reducing consumption even more!
✅ Our method of growing plants eradicate pest issues as systems are highly controlled so there’s no risk of weeds!
