Students from School of Law and other Schools of the University participated with great Enthusiasm.

SDG Club and Collaboration committee School of Law Galgotias University organises Guest Lecture on " Policy Options for Gender Responsive Rural Development Pathways" by Dr.Stefanos Fotiou, Director, Office of the Sustainable Development Goals, Food and Agricultural Organisation, UN ( Italy) on 11 January 2024.
The session shall take place online on zoom platform. The session is open for all faculty members and students across the university.
Participants shall join by scanning the QR code or joining through Meeting ID and passcode as provided in the brochure.

Legal Aid Clinic, Mediation Centre and ProBono Club , School of Law, Galgotias University organised a mental status examination camp in collaboration with the department of psychology, (school of liberal education) Galgotias University, at 'District Jail Kasana', Gautam Bhudh Nagar, Greater Noida, U.P on 23 December 2023. This camp was set up under the guidance of secretary DLSA Gautam budh Nagar and with the active support of Dean School of Law Prof. Dr.Naresh Vats.

A total of 14 prisoners in Jail were examined by Dr. Shalini, faculty of Psychology Department. Students of Law observed a very calm atmosphere in the jail and they interacted with the residents in a very warm manner.
This community and social outreach program aimed at promoting good health and well being of prison inmates and to ensuring peace and justice in society. The visit is coordinated by Prof.( Dr) Narendra Bahadur Singh, Convenor, Legal Aid Clinic and Mediation Center, School of Law Galgotias University

Legal aid Clinic, Mediation Centre and Pro Bono club, School of law, Galgotias University in collaboration with department of Optometry and Department of Physiotherapy organised a medical camp at 'Old age Home'Dankaur, Gautam Budh Nagar on 22 December 2023.

Visit aimed at reaching out to communities and contributing towards health and well being of senior citizens,so that strong social institution can be build which seek to uphold social justice to people living away from their families due to compulsive reasons.

The team of doctors and student volunteers from the department of physiotherapy and department of Optometry examined the residents.Following observations made out:
1. Department of physiotherapy examined 20 patients in which 8 patients require advance treatment and regular physiotherapy OPD visit.
2. Department of Optometry examined 29 patient at the eye camp in which 22 requires Cataract SX , 1 person was for glass prescription, and 2 people for the posterior capsular opacification. Due to old age, many residents had cataract issue.
3. Student Volunteers of legal aid committee interacted with the residents and noted down observations, which shall be documented.
Our endeavour is to help out these senior citizens get their treatment done through govt. Scheme.
This event was made possible due to active support of Prof. (Dr. )Shagun Agarwal, Dean, SMAS and Prof. (Dr. ) Naresh Vats, Dean, School of Law Galgotias University.
Dr. N B Singh, Convenor, Legal Aid Clinic and team of doctors from SMAS did wonderful coordination. Prof. (Dr.) Namita Singh Malik , Professor and Incharge of Community and Social Outreach at School of Law guided students how to make meaningful observations and write report.

School of Law, Galgotias University Second day of ' Deep Mahotasav ' witnessed active participation of NGOs who were given space in University campus to exhibit and sale the products prepared by Children from Slum areas, women in need of help , Underprivileged and marginalised people. Local Potter ( Kumhar) was also given space to sell his products in the campus. The entire purpose is to support these organisations towards their community work.
These efforts of Galgotias University are aimed towards a chievement of UN sustainable Development Goals.

School of Law, Galgotias University is pleased to share that SOL celebrated first day of 'Deep Mahotsav' with Senior Citizens living in old age home at Dankaur. Cultural performances by SOL students showcasing classical dance form such as bharatnatyam, folk dances from Bihar, Rajasthan, Gujarat and haryana added variety and flavour to the entire program. Guest enjoyed the memory down the lane to Retro days. After the cultural program, faculty from medical offered OPD services regarding Opthalmology, Physiotherapy etc , followed by delicious lunch by Sodexo.

Event was successfully organised and student volunteers and faculty members were immensely blessed by the senior citizens of old age home. Galgotias University humbly gifted 100 blankets, 18 electric kettles , one induction cooktop, steel mugs and some sweets to the very special audience of the day.

The entire management Chancellor Galgotias University, CEO Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, Director Operations Ms. Aradhana Galgotia , Advisor to Chancellor Prof. Renu Luthra, Registrar Dr. Nitin Gaur & Hon'ble VIce Chancellor Prof. Mallikharjuna Babu have been very supportive and encouraging in this community connect initiative of SOL.

Faculties of School of Law, Galgotias University alongwith it's Dean Professor Dr. Namita Singh Malik went for field investigation for its ongoing ICSSR Funded Research Project at Primary School Nathon ki Madhaiya, Kasna, Gautam Budh Nagar.

The research team including the principal investigator Dr. Manasi Sinha from School of Law, Dr. Pratyush Bibhakar (Co-Investigator) from School of Liberal Education, and Research Team Member Ms. Nungsangyula Imchen, Assistant Professor from School of Liberal Education, Ms. Parnika Punam (Research Assistant for the project) has carried out Focus Group Discussion with the respondents to understand their knowledge, practices of reproductive and sexual health and how different factors affect their behaviour in this matter.
Prof. ( Dr) Namita Singh Malik, Dean School of Law interacted with Anganwadi workers and observed and motivated the research team.
The study is being supported by Galgotias University's SDG Goal 3 (Health) and SDG Goal 5 (Gender Equality), District Health Unit of Uttar Pradesh Government, and Prakash Hospital, Greater Noida. The two-week community health awareness campaign is carried out by School of law in collaboration with School of Nursing, Galgotias University.

Students of School of Law, Galgotias University actively participated in National Lok Adalat conducted at Gautam Budh Nagar, on 9 December 2023.
Student Volunteers from School of law Galgotias University participated actively under the able direction of Secretary District Legal Service Authority, Ms. Richa Upadhyay (ADJ, FTC) , it's own dean Prof. Namita Singh Malik and faculty convenor, Dr. N B Singh.
The National Lok Adalat has different counters including different banks, electricity board, etc. where the authorities were trying their best to resolve or sort out the issues arises by the public in an amicable manner. SOL legal aid Volunteers collaborated with the authorities and general public by actively helping out the general public in settling the matter as per norms.
Such activity amounts to great experiential learning for the students.

School of Law, Galgotias University is proud to share that a community health awareness campaign on "Reproductive Health, Hygiene and Wellbeing" has started today under the aegis of Galgotias University SDG Drive and an ICSSR funded Academic research project.

The first visit under this community reach initiative has happened today in Marhara Village, Jewar. The project focuses on the Reproductive and Sexual health of slum dwelling women in Noida and Greater Noida Region. This field study for the project is being led by Dr. Manasi Sinha (Principal Investigator) from School of Law and Dr. Pratyush Bibhakar (Co-Investigator) from School of Liberal Education.
The field study is further supported by Galgotias University's SDG Goal 3 (Health) and SDG Goal 5 (Gender Equality), District Health Unit of Uttar Pradesh Government, and Prakash Hospital, Greater Noida.
The two-week community health awareness campaign is carried out by School of law in collaboration with School of Nursing, Galgotias University. School of Law, Galgotias University 4 Faculty members and 25 students participated in the 3 days International Conference on Cyber Law, Cyber Crime, and Cyber Security from 29 Nov- 1 December 2023 at Scope Convention Centre, Lodhi Road ,Delhi.
The technical session c were chaired by many renowned speakers from Supreme Court of India/ different High Courts/ Ministry of Defence/ Ministry of E&IT/ National Cyber Coordinator of India. The conference was organized by Cyber Law Nets & Dr. Pavan Duggal (Sr. Advocate). The sessions were very enriching covering the concerns of Cyber Laws, Cyber Threats, Chat GPT and ethical issues, data privacy, AI enabled crimes, Internet jurisdiction, deep fake videos etc. Students had a great learning experience attending this conference.

Legal aid volunteers of School of Law, Galgotias University had the honour and privilege of being appreciated by Ms.Richa Upadhyay, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority in a public ceremony hosted by DLSA on national legal services day. Madam has garlanded students and encouraged them to continue working for the community with same spirit and enthusiasm.

Students of School of Law Galgotias University witnessed the Launch of Legal Awareness Program for women ar Block Level and Launch of NCW Mobile application ' Her Legal Guide' and NALSA 15100 Helpline Number on Legal Services Day ( 9 Movember) at Vigyan Bhawan Delhi.

School of Law Galgotias University is pleased to share that it has been selected under the category of Best Legal Aid Clinic of Uttar Pradesh. This selection was made by UP State Legal Services Authority on the recommendation of District Legal Services Authority, Gautam Budh Nagar.
The award ceremony took place at Jawahar Bhawan, Lucknow. Member Secretary of UP State Legal Service Authority Mr. Sanjay Singh -II ( HJS) has highlighted and appreciated the zeal and contribution of Galgotias Legal Aid Clinic towards community services.
This well deserved award was received by Prof. ( Dr) Namita Singh Malik, Dean and Professor, School of Law Galgotias University under whose leadership legal aid clinic is conducting all activities. Prof. ( Dr) N B Singh, Professor School fo Law and Convenor of Legal aid clinic also joined in to receive this well deserved award.

School of Law, Galgotias University in collaboration with Legal Aid Clinic and NSS Unit 5 celebrated Constitution Day in School of Law.
The event was graced by Advocate Pawan Reley, Advocate, Supreme Court of India who delivered a talk on the relevance of constitution day and discussed the constitutional ethos which are the building block of all kinds of laws in India.
Few students had delivered a short talk on the importance of constitution and the event concluded with pledge taking ceremony by the students.

School of Law, Galgotias University organised the Disability Inclusiveness Awareness Program of the Disability Rights Clinic on 24 November 2023 at Grads International School, Greater Noida.
In this outreach program students performed nukkad natak and workshop for creating awareness in communities about rights of disabled and our duty as citizen to have an empathetic attitude towards people with disabilities.
This outreach program took place under the guidance of Dr. Smitha Nizar,Founder, disability rights clinic alongwith Rajat Dixit and Shreya Bajpai, assistant professors School of Law.

School of Law is pleased to present the *successful completion of the Intramurals Moot Court Competition, 2023,* which took place on *October 31st and 1st November at the Moot Court Hall of Galgotias University, Greater Noida.* *The event started with Draw of lots and exchange of Memorials followed by the welcome address by Dean, SOL encouraging the students about relevancy of Moot Court in law student's life whereby, the competition was declared open.*This year's competition witnessed active participation, with 24 teams from our esteemed institution which includes participation of 72 students from various batches and they were evaluated by different faculty judges in preliminary rounds and Semi final s* .
*The semi-final and final of the Intramurals* *Moot Court Competition, 2023, were held on November 1, 2023* , at the same venue*. **For Semi- finals 4 teams qualified. The team comprising of Muskan Verma, Pratishtha Singh and Nishtha from Second Year won the competition.* *The Best Speaker was bagged by Muskan Verma*,
*Best Researcher was bagged by Student Mohd. Yasin* and *Best Memorial went to Mohd. Sahil and Mohd. Wakar* *Arif*. *The final rounds were judged by renowned Supreme Court Advocate Sidhhartha Garg and Advocate Pawan Reley, who also held a Ques- Answer session with the student participants. ***The event was concluded with the award ceremony**** followed by Vote of thanks.

For this initiative School of Law and the School of Nursing has collaborated with each other to ensure a holistic approach to promoting the SDG Goals on Health and Well-Being, Gender Equality, Inclusion and Diversity as part of the wider agenda. MoU Committe, SOL, Galgotias University organised a guest lecture in the area of forensic science on the topic "Importance of DNA Profiling in Criminal Investigation: Future Prospects and Challenges". The speaker for the session was Dott. Eugenio D'Orio, Director of Bio Forensics Research in Italy. The speaker discussed at length the new techniques of DNA profiling like Forensic Genetic Genealogy. He also discussed about the relation between Right to Privacy of citizens and the maintenance of DNA database of citizens.
Overall it was an interactive session as the students very enthusiastically cleared their doubts relating to different physical evidences found at the crime scene and how DNA on them can lead to identification of individuals connected to that particular crime.
