An active youth environmentalist at the national and international level, Mr. Abhiir has been working in the field of environmental conservation for over 8 years
His work focuses on air pollution and waste segregation, and he is currently producing a climate change podcast with a UK-based think tank. As a prominent youth leader, Mr. Bhalla is passionate about driving youth climate action.

Most recently, he was nominated as a youth ambassador for earth day network international.

Abhishek Rana, 23 years, is an engineer turned entrepreneur. With just 3 folks they have scaled their company called CODENERA to more than 100 employees in just 1 year.

He has contributed his work in educating students and also a bottom-up approach towards nature. They are trying to restore forests, helping various NGOs to achieve the sustainable development goal, and trying to have minimum carbon footprints.
Talking about his background history he believed in making a difference towards climate and at a very young age, with the help of Codenera and other organizations they are achieving that.

For the TEDxSIULavale Countdown event, we are inviting an Economist turned Ecologist, Dr. Gurudas Nulkar
for the TEDxSIULavale Countdown Event.

"A sustainable planet is possible if humans become earnestly selfish" Dr. Gurudas Nulkar is a trustee of the Ecological Society of Pune and also the founding member of the Ramadi Restoration Mission.

He is also a teacher and author his Marathi book 'Anartha Shashtra' has been awarded the Maharashtra State "C.D.Deshmukh award for economic literature."
His area of teaching is Strategy and Sustainability.

Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune, would like to extend a special welcome to our guest of honor, Ms. Rekha Lalla for the TEDxSIULavale Countdown event.

If one takes a closer look at the alchemy of the achieving person, two distinct values pop up, besides perseverance and hard work. These are pioneering spirit and willingness. And our guest of honor and speaker today is the living idiom of a woman who happened to be born at the right time and right place. With an impressive background, it was not therefore surprising that Ms. Lalla has worked with several NGOs and was also awarded for her environmental projects by Ex-Chief Minister of Delhi Ms. Sheila Dixit.

When asked about her, who she is may not be a surprise, Ms. Lalla holds a masters’ degree in Botany and has been an educator for over 24 years teaching the students Science as the head of TERI Prakriti School, Gurgaon. She is an Environmentalist and also a Mentor and a Climate Reality Leader. She has conducted various Painting Exhibitions at India Habitat Centre and CSOI.

As a matter of fact, she has played a vital role in several educational projects and those undertaken by the Department of Environment, Government of Delhi.

Having said all these had made this woman of virtues be The Project manager of The Climate Reality Project.

Sanjeev K. Kanchan is a known environmental expert who has contributed to the development of various regulatory tools including critically polluted areas, real-time pollution monitoring systems, and new pollution norms for industrial sectors in India.

Mr. Kanchan writes articles and columns for various journals and media platforms.

He is a known trainer on various environmental and regulatory topics and have trained hundreds of environmental practitioners across SPCBs, industries, and consultants in India.

Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune, takes great pleasure in adding writer, entrepreneur Dr. Medha Tadpatrikar to the roaster of speakers scheduled for the TEDxSIULavale Countdown event.

Well versed and very relevant to the sustainability theme of the event, Dr. Medha Tadpatrikar is an esteemed Member of National Plastic Committee of Material Recovery Association of India and has been awarded for her many endeavors by being listed on the prestigious 'Top 30 Women Transforming India’ by Niti Ayog in 2019.
She is the founding trustee of “Keshav Sita Memorial Foundation Trust”, her efforts have helped in the collection of more than 25,00,000 kg of waste plastic.
Her experience in fields relevant to waste plastic management lists on and on, including the fact that she has successfully held over 500 talks, webinars and speeches about the same.

His Area of teaching is Ayurvedic Biotechnology, innovative biotechnology, physical biochemistry, biochemistry,
biological spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy for biochemists,
chemistry of the mind, biochemistry laboratory.

He has Researched protein toxins, botulinum neurotoxins, tetanus neurotoxins, staphylococcal enterotoxins, ricin, etc.

He is also the Executive Mentor of the School of Indic Studies
-coordinating this unique program to bring ancient yet living
the traditional culture back internationally.

Is the founder of The TCN Media for inspirational documentaries and programs on current topics.

For decades, we have been misusing the resources granted to us and it's time we react and take responsibility. Climate change is real!

There is no plan B when it comes to climate change and there isn't a planet B either. Earth, our home is facing a major crisis but there's still time and we can bring a change by having a collective approach. The only caveat being the need to accelerate the process, the key to this is spreading awareness.

At the heart of TEDxSIULavale 2021 lies the theme COUNTDOWN, an initiative by TED to accelerate solutions to the ongoing climate crisis and progress towards preserving our planet.
