VAN MAHOTSAV @ Ryan International Academy Horamavu

On April 5th, the students celebrated Van Mahotsav with great enthusiasm and fervour. Van Mahotsav, also known as the Forest Festival, is an annual tree-planting festival celebrated in India to promote the importance of trees and forests in our environment.

Students from Grade 1 to 5 actively participated in various activities aimed at creating awareness about the significance of trees in our ecosystem.
The celebration kicked off with a special assembly where students delivered speeches, slogans and songs highlighting the importance of trees and the need for environmental conservation. The assembly served as a platform to educate the students about the crucial role trees play in maintaining ecological balance and combating climate change.

Following the assembly, the students eagerly participated in a tree plantation drive. Under the guidance of teachers , students planted saplings in and around the school premises. Each grade level was assigned a specific area where they planted a variety of flowering plants, including Marigold,Zinnia,Crossandra,Gazaniacockscomb and Periwinkle/Vinca. This hands-on activity not only instilled a sense of responsibility towards the environment but also taught the students practical skills related to plantation and nurturing.

The celebration of Van Mahotsav in RYAN served as a reminder to everyone about their collective responsibility towards preserving our natural heritage. Through active participation and involvement in various activities, the students not only learned about the importance of trees but also pledged to take concrete actions to safeguard the environment.

In conclusion, the Van Mahotsav celebration at RYAN was a resounding success, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of students, teachers, and staff members. At our school, Montessori kids celebrated Van Mahotsav with great joy and enthusiasm! Tiny hands eagerly planted saplings in our school garden, learning about the importance of trees and nature. Through colourful posters and cheerful songs. Teachers guided us on nature walks, where we explored the wonders of the outdoors and discovered the magic of trees. Together, we pledged to protect our planet and nurture our green friends. Van Mahotsav at our Montessori was not just a celebration; it was a beautiful journey of learning and caring for our precious Earth.
