Welcome to the Last Week of Fitness Challenge from Aaharkriya 😍

Can you guess what is the habit for Week 4?
Well let me come straight to the point, you all might think of what I have to do after finishing my meal. Children might think of playing a game on mobile/ tablet, office going people might prepare for their upcoming presentation or about relaxing on the couch while watching TV. Am I correct?
If these are the kind of plans that you also have after finishing your meals then I would like to raise a red flag here.
It does not matter if you are on your fitness journey or not, lying or sitting down after your meals immediately can lead to multiple health issues like acid reflux, indigestion, bloating, GERD, and OBESITY.

So here we are with our Week 4 Habit:
πŸ‘‰ *Walk for 15-20 minutes after eating your lunch and dinner.*

This will not only help in improving your digestion but will also increase your metabolism and inturn lead to weight loss.

I hope you have been following all the weekly habits and if not yet started, start following them from today itself to see difference in yourself. Because habit building is the only sustainable way to achieve your goals and targets. ❀️

And we are back with *Week 3 of Fitness Challenge*, you all must have heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and skipping it can lead to low energy levels. Which is why you make sure to have something even when you are running late. Correct?

And when you are running late, you choose instant food options like muesli, instant masala oats, cornflakes, bournvita milk or if you are on a fitness journey then protein shake.
By now you must have guessed that your week 3 habit is about breakfast. But what is it?

πŸ‘‰ *Replace your instant breakfast options like instant masala oats, muesli, bread-butter, bournvita, cornflakes, protein shakes, etc with easy to cook homemade breakfast like poha, upma, vermicelli, besan chilla, prantha, overnight soaked oats, let over chapatis from dinner, omelette.*

Confused? Because you read on the packaging that it is healthy, rich in fibre, low in cholesterol. The truth is all these instant food options like cereals, instant oats, cornflakes contain high amount of sugar, food additives, taste enhancers, sodium, and preservatives which can lead to weight gain, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels and increase sugar cravings.

Therefore, replace it with home-cooked food that is been eaten at your home since ages. Be it prantha, sabudana, dhokla, khakhra, idli, dosa, bhakhri, etc. If you stay alone or in a hostel or short on time to prepare meals, you can go for meal prep at night or enjoy leftover dinner like chapatis, idli-sambar, etc.

To lose those extra pounds, manage your mood swings and sugar cravings start following this habit from tomorrow morning and make your day healthy and energetic. 🌞

Welcome back to *Fitness Challenge with Aaharkriya* to get healthy, energetic and lose some kgs in just *4 weeks!*
Any guesses for the Week 2 habit:
πŸ‘‰ *Pair your evening chai or coffee with a handful of roasted makhana or murmura or bhuna chana or roasted peanuts* instead of packaged, processed and fried food like biscuits, chips, namkeen, samosa, pakode, kachori, etc.

Many of you might be eating fried, sugary and processed food like these and some of you might say *I eat only 2 Marie biscuits* with tea. They are healthy and they do not contain sugar also.

Sorry to bust your myth but that is not true. *Every food that comes out of packet and goes straight into your mouth can never be healthy.*

Give it a thought, what all do you eat directly from the packet in the whole day πŸ€”
*Shocked to realise?*

Although, there are many reasons you should avoid these packaged and processed food, but let me list few of them for you:
➑️ Made up of refined flour (maida), being high in glycemic index increases your blood sugars instantly.
➑️ Contains added sugar which not only increase blood sugars but also increases inflammation in body.
➑️ Loaded with preservatives to increase their shelf life that leads to gastric issues, increase in weight and hormonal imbalance.
➑️ Contains taste enhancers that leads to obesity, binge eating disorders, PCOD, and increased risk of metabolic disorders.

To reduce the risk of all these diseases and reduce your body weight, completely avoid all these packaged and processed food. The best habit would be not to purchase them at all and swap your snacking options from packaged food to desi Indian snacks like chana, murmura, makhana, puffed jowar, peanuts, etc.
Make sure to be consistent with your Week 1 and Week 2 habits to get the best results.🌞
