At last, Onam is here.

And we have a short announcement to make.

People who are born with certain challenges remain increasingly vulnerable every monsoon before the Onam. They are rarely given attention in the mainstream press. Their stories are hardly devoted the same resources and legwork on the assumption that relatively few people read.

Hello, Thrissur! ?

This time we decided to say hello to the district by making sing his favourite Kathakali Padam, made famous by late Kalamandalam Hyderali. This song from the play Karnasapatham is the part where Karna laments and wonders whether he’d ever get to know who his parents are. This song also connected well with that of Hyderali, a Muslim who dared to enter a Hindu-dominated art form and at times faced discrimination.
