Four people have been arrested in Mizoram's Aizawl after he**in worth Rs 10 lakh was seized from their possession in two separate operations, an official said on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of excise department officials recovered 503 grams of he**in worth over Rs 9.75 lakh from the possession of three persons in the Bawngkawn area on Sunday, he said.

Mizo National Front (MNF) Legislature party on Monday disapproved the Centre’s move to implement Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the country, a leader said.
The meeting of the MNF legislature party chaired by chief minister Zoramthanga agreed that steps be taken to pass a resolution opposing the UCC during the coming budget session, which commences on February 7, he said.
It looks like smooth sailing for H Biakzauva, official candidate of the ruling Mizo National Front (MNF) for the post of deputy speaker of the assembly, as the opposition parties are not likely to contest the election.
MNF legislator Biakzauva was elected from the Lawngtlai East assembly seat in 2018. A meeting of the MNF Legislature Party on Monday selected him to be the ruling party candidate for the coming election to the deputy speaker's post on February 8. Biakzauva had filed his nomination on Monday.
