We are delighted to share, that if the people give us their blessing to form the government in Goa, we will launch a new scheme - *Griha Laxmi*, to provide an assured monthly income support to every household. Under Griha Laxmi scheme, a *direct transfer of 5000 per month* (*Rs 60,000 yearly*) will be made to a woman in every household as guaranteed income support.
This will be a marked and substantial improvement on all such existing schemes including Griha Aadhar which have been ineffective as:
1. The promise of 21500 per month is *insufficient*.
2. The scheme covers *only a fraction* of all households with too many eligibility criteria.
3. Most importantly, it *suffers from inadequate budgetary allocation* (2140 Crore spent against *270 Crore required) and operational inadequacies.
Some would question if Goa has the resources to support an ambitious scheme like Griha Laxmi, which would require roughly 1500-2000 Crore per year (6-8% of the total budget). Here we would like to assure, that unlike others, the TMC government in West Bengal has demonstrated that a scheme like Griha Laxmi is possible as a similar scheme, Lakshmi Bhandar, with a budgetary outlay of close to 15000 Crore (6-8% of the total budget) is already being implemented benefitting 1.6 Crore families.
On behalf of TMC, We assure you that we will run a government that will put the interests and priorities of the people of Goa at the core of its governance. We are steadfast in our commitment to the welfare of all Goenkars and we seek your support in this endeavour. Together, let's usher in a new dawn for Goa.
Kiran Kandolkar: Mamata Banerjee herself is the daughter of a priest, a true and devout Brahmin Hindu.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. Knowing that there's a power shift in the state, BJP-INC have joined hands to propagate a fake narrative with a scripted video.
Trinamool Congress differs from Congress in this way that, 'We don't raise issues to make ourselves look good. We raise issues and will continue to do so until we put pressure on the BJP to respond and act. Why have the two Goa MPs never brought up a single Goa-related issue in Parliament? I'll definitely do it next week!' says AITC Goa's in-charge Mahua Moitra - মহুয়া মৈত্র
