The Glocal University of Saharanpur organized 3 days “G-20 UniConnect Conclave” from 8th - 10th February,
2023 to spread awareness regarding India's presidency in the G20 summit
through the training of the faculty members and students of higher educational institutions and schools.
Glocal University has been nominated as Nodal Centre by the Regional Higher Education Office and Higher
Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
On this occasion the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the Glocal University Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Bharti welcomed and
felicitated the guests of the program with Bouquet,shawl and memento followed by the lamp lighting and his
welcome address.
The chief guest of the programme and G20 Brand Ambassador of Uttar Pradesh, Squadron Leader Ms. Toolika
Rani highlighted the importance of the “18th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit” which will take
place on 9th-10th September 2023 in New Delhi. She praised the enthusiasm of the students, teaching and
non-teaching staff of the university and huge number of guests came from educational institutions of
neighbouring areas sitting in the auditorium. The guest of honour of the programme Shri N. H. Rizvi, Special
Secretary to U.P Govt (Retired) and Dr. Swasti Rao, Associate Fellow at Europe and Eurasia Centre, Manohar
Parikar Institute of Defense Studies and Analyses has also shared valuable information regarding G20,
followed by the official launch of "SUKANYA Yojna" and felicitation of guests. The Pre-Inaugural Session was
addressed by Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar Sharma and concluding remark by Pro Vice
Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kumar Mishra. The Convener and Moderator of the event were Ms. Swarnima
Singh (DSW) and Mr. Mhd. Waseem respectively, and the vote of thanks was given by Registrar of the Glocal
University Prof. (Dr.) R.D. Dwivedi. The last segment of the program had Panel Discussion followed by National
Anthem and Certificate Distribution.
On this occasion all Senior Authorities and staff members of Glocal University were present.

The Glocal University organised the 8th International Yoga Day celebration on June 21, 2022, with the theme "Yoga for Humanity".
The session of Yoga held in the Management Complex of the University. The mega event was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Syed Akheel Ahmed and attended by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Satish Kumar Sharma; teaching & non-teaching staff and students of the University.
The program was coordinated by Registrar (in-charge) Ms. Reshma Tahir and conducted by DSW Ms. Swarnima Singh.

Admissions for B.Tech Civil Engineering in the lateral entry are also open. Those who have obtained a diploma in Civil Engineering can get admission in B.Tech in Civil Engineering from the Second year onwards.

“World Environment Day”
Adopt green and clean green technologies, avoid uncontrolled burning of waste, Use pollution-free vehicles, plant more and more trees, save existing forests, and avoid littering of waste into the environment, use appliances emission zero or minimum pollutant into the air. Don’t overuse or waste groundwater, use more and more surface water for domestic and irrigation purposes, avoid the use of groundwater for irrigation, washing of homes and vehicles, avoid open defecation, avoid open dumping of waste, adopt rainwater harvesting systems, recharge groundwater through the harvested rainwater, use the harvested rainwater for washing, gardening and flushing, construct artificial recharge pits, ponds, and lake, don’t pollute surface water sources(pond, rivers, and lakes) through dumping of solid waste, discharging of untreated sewage and wastewater, and wastes produced from worshipping activities at the banks of rivers(E.g. milk, garlands, clothes, and flowers, etc.), control public gatherings at the bank of rivers, stop throwing of dead bodies into rivers, stop marine pollution caused due to throwing of solid waste including plastics.

As per Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to people across the country,Honorable chancellor of Glocal University Haji Mohammad Iqbal and MLC Mahmood Ali have lighted Diya's to mark the national fight against the coronavirus outbreak.

Students of the Department of Civil Engineering made a model of Burj Khalifa using acrylic sheets and toothpicks. Students transformed the magnificent Burj Khalifa (tallest tower in the world, i.e. 828 m) into a model which measures 90 cm. The lower floors of the model have a Y-shaped floor plan to reduce wind loads and provide support for the tall central tower similar to the design of the real tower.
