This pose, has alluded me for a long time owing to my unstable knee - affecting my hamstrings flexibility and balance.

While there are many benefits of this pose, I Love some pretzeling because :
🥨 It’s a great shoulder opener! For those of you, who hold tension in your shoulders (like me) this pose will definitely release some of it.
🥨It gives a beautiful stretch in the hip 🍑
🥨 It makes me instantaneous energetic!
The backbending feels are so strong in 🐪
It’s never been my strongest suit and it doesn’t come easily to me either. But I’m hoping that practice makes me more comfortable in them. 🤷🏻♀️

Ecstatic ever since I got my splits back 🌈
Almost a year ago I tore my meniscus due to which I lost almost all of my range of motion in one knee and made my hamstrings extremely stiff.
I lost all of my flexibility and had to focus on strength instead. Tried to make the most of the situation 🤷🏻♀️

Ah, the beautiful . The asana which led to an ever-persistent knee injury back in June. Since then, I’ve been determined to get my split and voilà I have it today. ✨
Still a long way to go getting my flexibility pre-injury, but today was start. 💚

My hair probably hides my huge smile on achieving this near perfect chaturanga. . It took me two entire years to build the strength so that me noodle arms could support me. . A lot lot practice and determination does pay off 😌
