It’s an outdated belief guys!
Today’s reality is: a well planned vegetarian diet based on individual’s body requirements is capable of providing sufficient protein.
A variety of plant based protein foods such as beans, lentils, soy, nuts and seeds can give you adequate amounts of protein without having to consume non-veg or supplements.
And my personal favourite is cottage cheese!
Carbohydrates/ Carbs are main source of energy for us.⚡️
And good or bad is a matter of individual needs.
For example: Slow absorbing carbs (so called Good carbs) may not be that good for athletes.🏊♂️🚴♂️
While they are considered great for diabetic individuals
Baking (high temperatures) denatures the protein.
Our Child nutrition program is coming soon to make your children eat healthier!
I am serious!😂
Yeah! All these factors contribute. And for some individuals particular factors have more prominent role then others.
And identifying these prominent factors is crucial to make sustainable change.

I find it fascinating that Galen’s Laws of Health expounded in the 2nd century are still the core concepts of health today.
Holi! And after the festivities, I am gonna hear a lot from clients & friends about “Detox diet”, “Cleansing diet”, “Whole body cleanse” and god knows what cleanse.
Being a nutritionist, I am not enthusiastic about using any of these. Because there is very little clinical evidence to support their usefulness (I don’t mind sparkling testimonials!).
And If you are really concerned about body toxins, or you are feeling a dire need to do something about it after festivities.
I suggest, eating healthy, giving up unhealthy habits (like smoking), exercising, playing, laughing, having proper sleep and hydration. Watching sunrise and feeling the sunlight on your face (eyes closed😌), accompanying plants and animals.
And leave the responsibility to detox your body on your hardworking, self-cleaning supporters: your liver, kidneys and other organs.
And most importantly, love yourself!

If you want your kid to eat more fruits & veggies, singing their health benefits alone is not gonna be effective.
Children learn by imitation. And as a responsible parent it’s your duty to model healthy eating habits for your children to learn.
Eat a healthy and varied diet. And let your kid copy that.
Forcing children to eat anything is a huge No No!
