It's been exactly a year to this day that me and Krish set out together on our Musical Journey that's KriVi Entertainment !!! A year that's gone by so fast but was totally full of exciting moments - nostalgia of our past, our foray into this beautiful music world, fun-filled shows and events with wonderful friends and talented artists who wholeheartedly supported us !!!

KriVi is our sincere endeavour to bring happiness into the lives of all around - family, friends, acquaintances ! And we vow to continue doing so with the blessings of our elders and the love, wishes and support of our near and dear ones !!! We thank each one of you from the bottom of our hearts !!!

Avtaar - The Night of Twins.

As the Year 2020 draws to an end, KriVi Entertainment ended it on a super high !!! Performing for the Rotary Club of Bombay Mulund Valley at their Family Fellowship on 28th of December 2020 evening 7.30 pm onwards, it was a night of high voltage energy.

Couple of weeks ago when Mr.Balakrishnan, the President of Rotary Club of Bombay Mulund Valley and his wife, Ms.Lakshmi Balakrishnan, had approached us for a musical evening to be put together, our thought was to do something unique and interesting. And thus came the idea of doing Avtaar - The Night of Twins.

What a night it was - pure Magic !!! Songs that we had selected were nice peppy, foot-tapping numbers interspersed with romantic songs too. A nice camaraderie between the four of us - Jyothi, Shrikala and KriVi - coupled with the wonderful studio ambience, made it even more enjoyable !!! The fact that at the end of the evening, everyone from the Club unanimously voiced their opinion that they thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated us, truly made our day!!!

As Mr.Balakrishnan, the President of RC Bombay MulundValley , had rightly said, Rotary Club is all about giving opportunities !!! And so, KriVi Entertainment once again express our gratitude and thank Mr. Balakrishnan and his wife RtnLakshmi Balakrishnan , for giving us this opportunity to be a part of their Rotary Family !!! 🙏🙏🙏😍😍😍

Our Plans

KriVi is simply about entertaining. And the Entertainment World is full of endless possibilities with a whole lot of amazing things that can be done !!! We, as KriVi, would be recreating Hindi Film Music of the Golden Era, indulge in panel discussions analyzing Retro Hindi Film Music, be a part of your Happy times and celebrations. In short, anything and everything in this musical space that can bring a smile on people's face and spread Joy !!!

Music is Divine - It has the power to spread Joy, Happiness & Cheer, create Bonding, build Friendship and enhance Relationships !!! In short, build a treasure trove of Fond Memories for a Lifetime!!! This, is what KriVi means to us. Now...... And Forever......

KRIshnanand - KriVi had to happen - It was just a question of when. Me and Viju have been buddies for over 30 long years. We have spent our college days together & have been happiest discussing, listening, analysing music since then. The varied paths towards earning a living drifted us apart for a good while. Destiny it is, which brought us together again in the recent past. Since then, it's been like going back to those days of yore, turnig the clock back. We in unison believe Music to be one factor which has given us infinite joy & happiness all these years. And its only fair now that we feel the need to spread the happiness around & not confine it to ourselves.

VIjay - The seed for KriVi was probably sown 30 years ago in a college canteen, where Me and Krish used to while away our lecture time singing medleys and using the table as a rhythm for accompaniment !!! We had connected instantly because of a deep-rooted common passion for Music. Post-college, Life happened, we walked our separate ways and pursued our respective careers. Almost 3 decades later, music brought us together once again and we had an absolute blast reliving those college days. One thing led to another and the urge to do something fulfilling in the world of music made us finally take the plunge !!! And thus was born KriVi Entertainment - Musically Yours, a first step in the endeavor of Myself and Krish, of giving a definite shape to our musical dreams !!!

What is KriVi is what everyone's been asking and wanting to know. Simply put, it's purely a fusion of our names, Krishnanand and Vijay !!! 😍😍

When the nascent thought was just going through our minds, to do something in the world of music, it was important to put a Name to that thought first. Though the great Shakespeare had remarked What's in a Name, we felt otherwise. And while we were trading a few names back and forth, it suddenly struck me that the name is there right in front of me staring in my face !!!🤩 KriVi - there couldn't have been anything more apt or well suited to the musical journey of 2 like-minded friends, Krish and Me!!!

And the best part that happened in this process of finalising this name was, I came to know that we are already blessed with this name, because KriVi is one of the many names of LORD SHIVA Himself !!! He, who is known for His love and passion towards Music and Fine Arts !!!

And so, the name KriVi was born with the blessings of LORD SHIVA! 🙏🏻

It's been exactly 45 years ago that my tryst with Music and Fine Arts began. A couple of our neighbouring uncles were on their way to watch a Yakshagana performance of my father (a form of dance ballet which is prevalent in my native Karnataka). And in jest they asked me if I too wanted to come along. Like most 3 year old kids would do, I jumped at the idea of going out and was ready in a jiffy. My Aamma had just returned from office and yet to prepare dinner. Worried on one hand since these shows were overnight affairs but not wanting to kill my excitement, she simply thrust an apple into my hand even as I was running out of the door !!! That night, as I heard the rhythmic beats of the 'Chende' playing over and over again, is when I got hooked on to Music !!! In the early years, I did dabble a bit in learning the harmonium and the tabla, but it was the passion towards singing which became stronger as the years went by. A passion, which was evident at the annual Diwali orchestras in my building, office parties and conferences, picnics and of course the full night sessions which used to happen with a few close friends !!!
And that's exactly what Music has always been for me - an expression of myself and my emotions. In every single moment of Life be it Happiness, Love, Fun, Masti, Tragedy or in Total Solitude - music has been my constant companion. In every form or language be it Hindi movie songs, ghazals, qawali, Marathi abhangs, Konkani and Kannada devotional songs and even Tamil film songs !!! Because, Music is what binds people and gives a beautiful meaning to Life !!!

Reckon the music bug has bitten me as a toddler. I still have a Black & White FC picture of mine from then, feeling a Bush 2 in 1 Tape Recorder, smiling blissfully. My parents tell me that playing this tape recorder was a means to grab my attention from any other destructive / harmful activity which a tod would otherwise indulge in. Grew up listening to Hindi Film Music & intrigued at the diversity of various music compositions by every single contemporary Music Director of the 80s. Started off my professional career in the early 90s with my initial years affiliated to the music industry, helming Music Sales, Artist & Repertoire Management etc. Have been very closely associated with a few music groups since late 90s, till date, recreating Retro HFM.
Inately passionate about Indian Music in all forms. Or Should I say, Music helps me breathe...
