How To Read Nutrition Lable?

I have coloured certain sections to help you focus on important area to look for.

1) Serving information
Pay attention to the serving size, especially how many servings are there in food package.
For eg if sample lables one serving is equal to 1 cup, so if you consumed 2 cups you are eating twice the total calories mentioned

2) Calories
The number of servings you consume,determines the number of calories you actually eat

3)Nutrients
Nutrients to get less of:- Saturated fats, Sodium & Added Sugars.

Nutrients to look after :-
Dietary fibre, vit D, Calcium ,iron, & pottasium.

3) The Percent Daily Value
5% DV or less or less of a nutrient per serving is considered low

20%DV or More of a nutrient per serving is considered high.

So choose
Higher in %DV of dietary fibre, calcium, iron, pottasium.

Lesser in % DV for saturated fats, sodium & added sugars

Is Brown Sugar Really Healthier Then White Sugar??

Read On

White & Brown Sugar Originates from the same crop either the sugarcane or sugar beet plant .

Brown Sugar is a mixture of white sugar & molasses (which is type is sugar derived syrup)
So this molasses is responsible for its darker colour & nutritional value.

Brown Sugar contains slightly more minerals and marginally fewer calories then white sugar.

However the nutritional difference between the two are INSIGNIFICANT.

✅Which One Would You Choose?
Wether You Choose white or brown sugar comes down to personal preference, as TASTE & COLOUR ARE THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO.

They are nutritionally similar, resulting in similar health effects. Keep in mind that it's recommended to limit the intake of sugar, as eating too much may harm your health .

So don't fall into the trap of brown sugar, it's just marketing skills.
