What a satisfying evening to perform at Mirra, a special school in Velachery.
Sangamam at Mirra their annual series of events to give the kids a concert experience at their own abode and we were more than excited to be a part of it. The show begun on an auspicious note and we rendered a motley collection of our originals and familiar film numbers grabbing the attention of the students and the parents alike. The atmosphere turned electric with these neurodivergent population clapping and singing along with us for the 'Thillana' which was the finale.

Special thanks and shoutout to our sound engineer Mr.Raja, who ensured our request to be mindful of the students' auditory sensitivities and designed it such a way that it was an aural treat to the listeners.
It was so heartwarming to see the kids, parents and the teachers melt their worries away listening to the mellow melodies, rendered by us.

Can't wait to do more such performances.

Do you want us to perform at your event?

Dressed in shades of shimmery gold and bold black, reflecting and matching our brands' colour scheme, we sprung out onstage with a rejuvenated zeal for Show 2.
Under the Chennai stars, our stage became a canvas of emotions.
Nervous excitement wafted through the wind like the familiar scent of namma filter coffee.

When we rendered our originals, it was as if our music had a life of its own, and we were its humble conduits. The audience's response was electric, and we couldn't help but beam with happiness, as evident through the pictures.
Chennai, our city, our muse, you were with us in every note.
Thank you for making this encore a night of pure magic.
Look out for updates regarding our next live gig. You wouldn't wanna miss that!

Lights on, a sudden silence and the energetic audience applause!
These three final stages before a performance always manages to stir a sense of extreme exhilaration and uncontrollable nervousness, even though it's the same process every time we get on stage.
In Thisram live 2.0, this feeling was no different. It was so unique, yet vaguely familiar. We all came clad in a white and blue combo- white for the independence day, to add a pinch of patriotism and blue, the colour that accurately portrays our favourite place - Bessy beach.

As we played our compositions, it was like we were whispering Chennai's stories through our melodies. We were nervous, excited, and alive. The energy and the vibe just kept getting better as the show progressed. Thank you for being part of our musical odyssey.
And we are even more stoked to do our next live gig, very soon!

Here is Bhargavi Manogna, doing what she does best. Her melodious and sleek voice takes us all to a very comforting place. Her thought process, ideas and the implementation of her quirky concepts prove to be an icing on the cake.

In Thisram Live 2.0, she nailed her solo Raga alapanas and the audience were awestruck by the precision and her scrupulous swaragyan. You'll witness more of her magic, soon.

Srivatsan (aka key-vastan xD) makes one melt to the melodic masterpieces and the colours that he effortlessly brings out through this monochrome instrument.
Fast deft fingers coupled with a calm and composed persona sets him apart from the rest. The silent worker of our band who makes each composition that we present to stand out.
In the recent Live 2.0, his lightning fast solo from the famous malayalam number left fans gasping for air!

Sivaranjini, the dynamite, adds her sizzle
and lights up every composition with her extensive knowledge, not just in Carnatic music but in other genres too.
She brings different flavours to the table through her harmonic layering and adds the right spice required for every song.

The recent show was a testament to prove the uniqueness of her voice, the boldness of her character and the crispness in her renditions!

Shreemathi aka 'The satapdhi', definitely proves to pull off the impossible with elegance. The strong knowledge she possesses, the clarity in her presentation and her ability to move people with her voice just adds to the beauty of the experience for the listener.
We are left to wonder where all those super-fast sangathis come from. It was no different in this gig, what a fun musing watching her render those nuances with such ease!

Presenting to you, our multi-percussionist, our power house, Aditya Kamakshinadha. The skill and passion he shows for his profession is something that leaves us in awe. Rhythm, being the backbone of every piece's structure, takes its perfect place in his hands. He is always the busiest on stage, juggling God knows how many instruments. (brownie points if you get close to the number, comment below xD)

All the korvais, thani avarthanams, rolls and sonic effects produced through the dexterity of his fast fingers, kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

Meet Akshara, the beatboxer and the beat machine of the band, the one who makes us groove to her complex yet artistic rhythms that she produces with her mouth. Be it trap, pop, jazz or even intricate Carnatic korvais, she makes it seem subtle yet impactful.
In Thisram Live 2.0, the response that she got from the crowd for her solo was so overwhelming that people couldn't help but automatically bob their heads in sync as she took them into a trance!

'Kannurangu' - A Lullaby| Thisram| Originals 27/06/2023

A lullaby or a cradle song is a soothing melody sung to convey soft emotions, usually of love or affection between the parent and the tiny tot, inducing them into sleep. "Kannurangu" is a gentle blend of notes with a hummable tune that transports you to an intertwining world full of dreams and tranquility.
In an Indian family setting, there are womenfolk who collectively take care of the child. A lullaby needn't be one-to-one. We have tried to depict this scenario of four women in the family, putting a baby to sleep.

Here's presenting to you Thisram's own composition, Kannurangu.

Lyrics: Sivamadhavan

Vocals and composed by:
Shreemathi Jagannathan
Bhargavi Manogna
Sivaranjini Chandramouli Akshara Satheendran

Keys and bass:
Srivatsan G

Percussions:
Aditya Kamakshinadha

Shot by: Sai Sabareesh, Parthasarathy

Edits: Barath

Hope our song helped your child to sleep :")
