Let your kids know they have a role to play in their home

Give them responsibilities, chores, and a purpose.

Let them know the house doesn't work without them.

This will build strength, resilience, discipline, and community.

Four virtues desperately missing from the public sphere

Cultural change begins in your home.

Start by loving - deeply loving - your kids.
You connect with them and you go first.
Let them know they will always be loved, no matter what.

And then give them chores

Cybercrime is the newest and the most complicated problem in the cyber world. Cybercrime is basically an illegal act in which computer is either tool or target. After the development of internet, anybody can have easy access of data and information from all over the world. But instead of taking benefits of internet, some people are misusing of computers and internet for crime such as cyber po*******hy, cyber stalking, email bombing, virus attacks, web jacking etc. Other than these crimes, offenders use the cyber world for child abuse which is also a kind of cybercrime. Violence and harms against children and young people in cyberspace and in relation to new technologies include: The production, distribution and use of materials depicting child sexual abuse, Online solicitation or 'grooming' (securing a child's trust in order to draw them into a situation where they may be harmed), Exposure to materials that can cause psychological harm, lead to physical harm, or facilitate other detriment to a child, Harassment and intimidation, including bullying. Children are the newest victims of cybercrime. Offenders use illegal activities such as online grooming against the children to make their victim. The computer and internet are being used to commit crimes against the children such as child exploitation, production, distribution, and possession of child po*******hy; exposure to harmful content; grooming, harassment, and sexual abuse; and cyber bullying. Research papers discussed about the connection between a child and the cybercrime, how cyber offenders use the cyber world to abuse the children. Some preventive measures are also discussed at the end of the paper.

The situation in Ukraine is devastating and terrifying for its people. Like any parent it is heartbreaking to see the effect on the innocent children that are now living in a war zone. As conflict escalates so do the needs of children.

Rather than showing your children random videos on YouTube which actually is "NOT" safe for them, lets start using screens as effectively & efficiently as we can

Allowing our kids to watch random videos or play any games has a HUGE impact on their brains, behaviour, learning ability, language & development

Today's kids are born with screens & they are the normal of today

How about using screens for learning & fun both...?

Screens if used mindfully can have lot of benefits for young minds & if misused, they have many unnoticed &

unrecognisable side-effects as well

I have listed 7 educational apps for you in the above post, each of them teaches something valuable to our children

Drop a 👍🏻

if you found this list helpful

Why Parents Fighting Is a Problem

There’s research to suggest that a child as young as 6 months old can be negatively affected by harsh parental arguments.1 But it’s not just young kids who are affected by parents fighting. Other studies show that young adults up to age 19 can be sensitive to conflicts in their parents’ marriage.

It goes to show that children of all ages, from near-infancy through early adulthood, are impacted by how their parents choose to handle their differences. Researchers believe high-conflict marriages take a toll on a child’s mental health. Here are some of the ways kids are impacted.

Their is usually a balance issue that we face in the 2 set of responsibilities that we have i.e

1. Towards our child

2. Towards our work life, spouse, parents, family, friends, relationships etc

There usually is some stress in the 2nd responsibility that we are unable to handle and we vent out on our kids for no reasons related to them at times & feel guilty later

Sometimes we even lash out on our children for the smallest of things because we are internally disturbed over something else

But why do we do this?

Because kids are easy targets?

Because they are younger to us?

Because we think we are dominant so we can behave in any way with them?

Because we want to take out our anger & frustration on someone so be it kids?

Would you like if your spouse/partner/family member/friend

lashes out on you every now & then for no fault of yours? Lets stop damaging our relationship with our children for NO fault of theirs

Like this post if it made you realise something, don't forget to share and empower other parents.

Every child should have a caring adult in their lives. And that’s not always a biological parent or family member. It may be a friend or neighbour. Often times it is a teacher.
The strength of our student relationships makes the difference in translating our passion for teaching into their passion for learning.
It’s not so much the journey that’s important; as is the way that we treat those we encounter and those around us, along the way.

Independence Day is celebrated annually on 15 August as a national holiday in India commemorating the nation's independence from the United Kingdom on 15 August 1947, the day when the provisions of the 1947 Indian Independence Act, which transferred legislative sovereignty to the Indian Constituent Assembly, came into effect. India retained King George VI as head of state until its transition to a full republic, when the nation adopted the Constitution of India on 26 January 1950 (celebrated as Indian Republic Day) and replaced the dominion prefix, Dominion of India, with the enactment of the sovereign law Constitution of India. India attained independence following the Independence Movement noted for largely non-violent resistance and civil disobedience.

The Importance of Fine Motor Skill Development

Fine motor skills are those that involve a refined use of the small muscles which control the hand, fingers and thumb. With the development of these skills, a child is able to complete important tasks such as writing, feeding oneself, buttoning and zippering. These abilities gradually develop through experience and exposure to a variety of toys, materials and even foods.

Why is fine motor skill development important? Little hands need to develop dexterity and strength. We, as parents or caregivers, can help this process by encouraging children to play, explore and interact with a variety of items. Toys, clothing fasteners, safe scissors and play dough are all tactile examples of practices that facilitate fine motor development. Even doing age appropriate tasks in the kitchen are great ways to help build fine motor skills. These types of “play” activities and manipulation skills will actually help prepare a child to hold and use a crayon. The ability to do so is the first step in learning to color, draw and ultimately write.

Here are some activities to try with your child that will help fine motor development:

Surface tension is the tendency of liquid surfaces at rest to shrink into the minimum surface area possible. Surface tension is what allows objects with a higher density than water such as razor blades and insects to float on a water surface without becoming even partly submerged.

When your body is in distress and a particular area is under attack, white blood cells rush in to help destroy the harmful substance and prevent illness. White blood cells are made in the bone marrow.

It is only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it were the only one we had.

The question isn’t who’s going to let me; it’s who’s going to stop me.

Psychology is the science of mind and behavior. Psychology includes the study of conscious and unconscious phenomena, as well as feelings and thought. It is an academic discipline of immense scope. Psychologists also seek an understanding of the emergent properties of brains, linking the discipline to neuroscience.
