Hanuman Jayanti, the celebration of Lord Hanuman's birth, holds a special place in Hindu tradition, symbolizing strength, devotion, and unwavering loyalty. As dawn breaks on 23rd April 2024, devotees around the world will gather to commemorate this auspicious occasion with fervor and reverence.

The festivities begin with devotees waking up before dawn to perform special prayers and rituals. Temples resonate with the sounds of bells and chants as priests lead devotees in reciting the Hanuman Chalisa—a sacred hymn praising Hanuman's virtues and his pivotal role in the Ramayana epic.

Hanuman, the beloved devotee of Lord Rama, is revered for his boundless devotion and extraordinary feats. He is depicted as a symbol of strength, courage, and selflessness, making him a beloved figure among Hindus seeking inspiration in their own lives.

15th April - Chaitra Navpada Oli or Ayambil Oli- 🌺

The followers of the Jain tradition observe Ayambil Oli, it is a festival of 9 days celebrating and paying homage to the Navpad (The Navpad is also found in the Navkar Mantra). It falls between the 7th day of the lunar month to the full moon day of the Chaitra and Ashwina months. Nava means nine in Sanskrit and Prakrit languages and Pada means post.

Hence the word Navpad means nine supreme posts of the universe. These nine are Arihant, Siddha, Acharya, Upadhyaya, Sadhu, Samyak Darshan, Samyak Gyan, Samyak Charitra, and Samyak Tap. Navapad is also called Siddha Chakra. It's a fasting time for the Jain community.

April 8th, 2024, brings a Total Solar Eclipse in the sign of Aries. This is one of the most potent cosmic events of the year and will shape the path we are destined to walk for the next 18 months.

Eclipses are always highly transformative times, and this Eclipse, being a Total Solar Eclipse, is at its maximum strength level. A Solar Eclipse always falls on a New Moon, so you can think of this as a supercharged, super activated, super intense New Moon.

Waning Gibbous - Moon Phase

After the Full Moon yesterday, the Moon has started it's Waning phase from today 26th March 2024!

The term waning means decreasing, and the term gibbous means “humped-back.” Therefore, this phase is called Waning Gibbous because the surface area of the Moon that you see is decreasing and the shape of the lit-up part of the Moon looks like a hump-back.

A Waning Gibbous Moon phase is a time to look inward and re-evaluate your goals. It's a time to feel grateful for what has been this month and re-adjust your intentions moving forward.
