Kheerganga Trek
Kheerganga trek offers most dramatic, beautiful scenes throughout the way. But before heading, there are few things to be kept in mind.
1. I can’t stress enough on renting good waterproof/anti-slippery shoes, especially for this trek as there are many water falls along the way and the path is mostly rocky.
2. Having a walking stick is so helpful. It is as good as someone is holding your hand and helping you climb and gauge the hurdles.
3. After trekking all the way up, its amazing to stay in one of the tents to get a full feel of the mountains and the valley. But if you want to come back the same day, it’s super important to leave as early as possible because it’s 12kms one way and takes up about 5-6 hrs easily.
4. The difficulty level of this trek is moderate. And at some points quite difficult as well.

Kheerganga trek takes you along a journey to discover Parvati Valley and one of its many secrets. Nestled deep in Himachal Pradesh,
Kheerganga is a spiritual site where Lord Shiva is believed to have meditated for 3000 years. There is a little pool on the highest point here with warm spring water. The water from the hot springs is believed to be “holy”.
The tiny pool of Kheerganga is what the village has been named after – which roughly translates into milky water of holy nature with reference to Ganges River.  This pool is divided in two sub pools with one section for men and the other one for women.
