Instructional Designer for eLearning Platform Development
The Instructional Designer uses all instructional design principles, models and learning theories, at their disposal to fulfil learning objectives and fill in the knowledge gaps.
Task to get done
• Coordinate for design and develop interactive course ware with trainers.
• Participate in multiple projects.
• Lead all phases of instruction development.
• Assist the Consultants in completing the detailed design.
• Provide direction to the Media/Web Development Team.
• Contribute to users/client organization through the Learning process.
• Promote collaboration, partnerships and relationships among the participants.
Analysis
• Ensure integrity of task analyses, training requirements, training hierarchies, instruction materials, and evaluation plans.
• Understand the business problem, learner profile, & the evaluation methodology to implement in the proposed learning solution
• Understand the learning solution design (Including functional design - incorporating user requirements & business solutions to meet business needs)
• Collect the relevant media
• Knowledge and ability in contributing to the development of virtual learning experiences from business needs, through all phases of instructional design.
• Update and maintain learning courses and Learning Management System (LMS) to support evolving business priorities and learner needs.
• Provide relevant instructional design samples created and successfully deployed.
Designing
• All instructional design processes and projects.
• Create and document standard ISD processes
• Work through the phases of design and development
• High degree of competency in designing within the Articulate 360 suite of products.
• Video editing and publishing skills, for inclusion in a variety of virtual learning experiences.
• Knowledge of ID theories and how to apply them
• Experience in storyboarding and scripting
• Ramp up quickly on related software, Learning Management Systems (LMS), authoring tools (i.e., Articulate or Evolve, Powtoon, or similar) and other SaaS products.
• Experience in courseware development, support or software quality assurance.
• Experience with audio/video software: Camtasia, Audacity, Articulate, or similar.
• Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Excellent and concise communication and professional writing skills.
• Evidence of excellence in the course and graphic design, microlearning, UX design, or equivalent work experience that promotes learning.
• Proactive problem solver, detail-oriented, creative, coachable, and a self-starter.
