Inadequate access to menstrual hygiene facilities, including clean toilets, sanitary pads, and proper education about menstrual health, can lead to discomfort, embarrassment, and stigma for girls during menstruation. These factors often contribute to girls missing school or dropping out altogether.

Various organizations and initiatives are working to address this issue in India by improving access to menstrual hygiene facilities, promoting menstrual health education, and providing sanitary products to girls in need. Efforts are being made to create awareness, reduce stigma, and ensure that girls have the necessary support to manage their menstruation effectively, enabling them to stay in school and pursue their education.

It's great to conduct a menstrual hygiene session emphasizing the importance of period tracking and the challenges that girls face when transitioning to corporate life. Period tracking can help girls understand their menstrual cycles better and plan their activities accordingly. This can help reduce stress and discomfort during periods.

When it comes to transitioning to corporate life, girls may face challenges such as finding a safe and clean restroom, managing period pain and discomfort, and dealing with the stigma around menstruation in the workplace. It's important for companies to provide adequate menstrual hygiene facilities and support for their female employees to ensure they feel comfortable and confident during their periods.

Overall, promoting menstrual hygiene and supporting girls and women in managing their periods is crucial for their overall health and well-being. It's important to raise awareness about these issues and work towards creating a more supportive and inclusive environment for menstruating individuals.

The menstrual cup was invented in 1932 by American actress and entrepreneur Leona Chalmers. Chalmers was searching for a more comfortable and practical alternative to the bulky and uncomfortable sanitary pads of the time. She developed a soft, flexible rubber cup that could be inserted into the va**na to collect menstrual flow.

The first menstrual cups were made of latex rubber and were reusable. In the 1950s, silicone cups were developed, which were more durable and could be sterilized by boiling. Today, there are many different brands and types of menstrual cups available, made from various materials and with different shapes and sizes to suit individual preferences.

Menstrual cups have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their eco-friendliness and cost-effectiveness. They are reusable and can last for several years, reducing the amount of waste produced by disposable menstrual products. They are also more affordable in the long term, as they do not need to be replaced as frequently as tampons or pads.

Preparing for your daughter's first period can be an important and sometimes sensitive topic. Here are some steps you can take to help your daughter be prepared and feel comfortable:

Step 1: Educate yourself on menstruation: Learn about menstrual cycles and puberty so you can answer any questions your daughter may have. You can read books, watch videos, or attend seminars on the topic.

Step 2: Have an open and honest talk: Have an open and honest conversation with your daughter about menstruation before she gets her first period. Explain what it is, why it happens, and how to manage it.

Step 3: Create and share a digital repository: New-age kids need modern solutions. Research and find the best channels or doctors actively speaking about menstrual health on YouTube or Instagram to help them learn first-hand.

Step 4: Educate her about the different period products and usage: Make sure you brief her about all period products and their usage- sanitary napkins, period cups, reusable period pads, period panties, and disposable period panties. Help her make an informed choice for her period products. You may also want to consider purchasing a small pouch or bag to keep supplies in when she's at school or out of the house.

Step 5: Talk to her about the period's role in reproduction: This a conversation that you might want to run away from, but it's critical to sow the seed from the beginning. Before your daughter becomes s*xually active, give her the right understanding of how to have safe s*x & maintain healthy period cycles.

Step 6: Encourage her to come to you if she faces any issues: Periods can come with a side dish of problems so make sure you assure her that this is a safe space to discuss her problems and together you can always find a solution or get her proper care if needed.

Step 7: Tell her- Having periods is nothing to be ashamed of: Periods are natural and are nothing to be ashamed of, make sure this message gets in her system from day one and bears repeating.

Here are five daily habits that can help improve the experience of your period:❤️

✨ #1 Stay hydrated: Drinking enough water is important for overall health, and it's also crucial for managing menstrual symptoms. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water per day.

✨ #2 Manage stress: Chronic stress can disrupt the menstrual cycle, so it's important to find ways to manage it. This can include things like meditation, yoga, deep breathing, or talking to a trusted friend or therapist.

✨ #3 Get enough sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night, as sleep is essential for physical and emotional well-being. Try to establish a consistent sleep schedule, and avoid screens and caffeine before bedtime.
