In the third post of the ‘Marked by Insanity’ Project we try to explore diagnostic labels and ask the question, what do these labels really indicate? More specifically, what does a psychiatric diagnosis indicate? We often see narratives in popular media conflating a person and the problem(s) they might be experiencing. But, what would it mean for us to understand diagnoses better and ask ourselves some pertinent questions? Come along with us to find out!
To read further on psychiatric diagnosis, you can find resources through the link in our bio. Watch this space for more! 🌼

We are thrilled to announce the ‘Marked by Insanity Project’. Born out of our conversations, experiences and practice, we attempt at detangling discourses around mental illness. We will be looking at the history, (mis)information, and systems of support that are interwoven to form the fabric of mental health awareness in the 21st century consciousness. With this, we hope to offer our contributions to the collective, ever evolving imagination of what care can be in today’s world. Curious to know more? Watch this space over the next few weeks!
