Comin’ straight from the Queen of Queens, our Badima.

In the BKQ household, that’s what we fondly call our grandmother. 75+ years into this universe, the woman’s gained love and appreciation from all her known ones, and is greatly looked up to.

Badima’s greatly known for her absolutely incomparable humour, her love for chhole bhature and coke (any aerated drink, tbh), her hand knitted woollens, and these gems of pickles that are a staple jar shelf in the BKQ kitchen. 😍

Every winter here, with her, has been a traditional Punjabi “sard”, with some traditions-turned-into-rituals. One of them being the winter pickle time.

Gobhi (cauliflower), gajar (carrot), shalgam (turnip) ka aachaar, nimbu (lemon) ka aachaar, and a few more sweet delicacies contribute to a typical winter with Badima.
