A tooth doesn’t need a silver lining !
A patient reported to us with an old amalgam / silver filling done over 20 years ago. As you can see the old filling :
👉 Has no anatomy . It is flat.
👉Has lost its seal with the tooth which will permit the oral fluids to seep in and cause future decay.
We decided to revamp the tooth with the latest tooth colored fillings called composites, establishing a proper anatomical form which will help in better masticatory efficiency and proper hermetic seal to avoid any seepage through the filling .
The entire procedure was carried out under to avoid the mercury in the amalgam filling to come in contact with the oral tissues .

A disheartened patient walked into the clinic with a broken front bridge involving seven of his teeth.
The teeth below the bridge were badly broken down and couldnt be saved.
We used the latest techniques in implant dentistry to replace his missing teeth. For dentists reading this post, socket shield and pontic shield treatment methodology was employed.
Temporary teeth were given on the day of the implant surgery. Yes, we didnt let the patient walk out of the clinic without any teeth :)
After 4 months of healing of the implants, we worked on his final crowns and here we are, with a brand new smile & a happy content patient !
