We are thrilled to share that The Rotary Club of Calcutta Old City, District 3291 received an award for our heart touching flagship project, 'Hridaya'. 'Hridaya' captured everyone's hearts and took first place in the Club category at the award ceremony. Mr.Surojit Kala was taken the award on behalf of The Rotary Club of Calcutta Old City and our beloved project, 'Hridaya'.

Hridaya- A mission to keep hearts beating
DRIVE HRIDAYA, the Treasure Hunt, Season 3 is yet another initiative of Rotary Club of Calcutta, Old City, to involve the parents and youth of the city in a fun filled activity that aims to work against Congenial Heart Diseases (CHD) and save the lives of as many children as possible.
With DRIVE HRIDIYA, a treasure hunt on wheels, we aim to increase awareness about this disease and generate funds to support the children suffering from CHD, with heart surgeries. We take pride to announce that so far DRIVE HRIDAYA has successfully assisted in the heart treatment of 40 children and we aim to ensure heart treatment of 20 more children through #DRIVEHRIDAYA initiative.
The flight of cars along with the participants takes off from Spring Club, Kolkata at 8.00 AM on 19th January, 2020. All the teams are expected to go on a treasure hunt drive with their cars (own or rented) to some identified points in the city where specific individuals are deputed to acknowledge and stamp their arrival.
At DRIVE HRIDAYA, we believe that this event will be successful in providing aid to our cause and the participants would enjoy the treasure hunt amidst the busy and mundane lives prevalent nowadays. Both the old and the young generation will take part together, trying to solve the clues and reach different heritage points based on how well they know their own city of joy, Kolkata. We also believe that such an event will be a wonderful platform to learn about the ethics of driving rules, importance of road safety and contribute their bit to the society at the same time.
