ലോകത്തിന്റെയല്ല, ദൈവത്തിന്റേ സ്വന്തമാകാൻ
യോഹ: 15: 18-21, 16: 1-4

"ലോകം നിങ്ങളെ ദ്വേഷിച്ചുവെങ്കിൽ അതിനുമുമ്പേ അത് എന്നെ ദ്വേഷിച്ചു എന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളുവിൻ." ലോകം ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നത് വ്യക്തികളെയാകണമെന്നില്ല, ലോകത്തിന്റേതല്ലാത്തത് എല്ലാറ്റിനെയുമാണ്. അതായത്, ദൈവീകമായതിനെയെല്ലാം അത് ദ്വേഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കും. അത് ലോകസ്വഭാവം.
ക്രിസ്തുശിഷ്യൻ ആയിരിക്കെ, ലോകം നിന്നെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ, നിന്നിൽ ഒരു കുറ്റവും കാണുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ സൂക്ഷിക്കണം. അതിനർത്ഥം, നീ ലോകത്തിന്റെ സ്വന്തമായിട്ടാണ് ജീവിക്കുന്നത് എന്നല്ലേ? ലൗകികതയോട് ചങ്ങാത്തത്തിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്ന വ്യക്തിയിൽ ദൈവീകത വളരുക എളുപ്പമല്ലല്ലോ. "ദൈവത്തെയും മാമോനെയും ഒരുമിച്ചു സേവിക്കുക എളുപ്പമല്ല".
സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെ സ്വന്തമായി ഭൂമിയിൽ ജീവിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ? സ്വർഗ്ഗം അംഗീകരിക്കുന്ന വ്യക്തിയായി ഒരു ജീവിതം മാറ്റാൻ സാധിക്കുമോ? സാധിക്കും എന്നത് പരി.അമ്മ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ലോകം വച്ചുനീട്ടുന്ന ആകർഷണങ്ങളോടും തീരുമാനങ്ങളോടും ആമ്മേൻ പറയാതെ, ഉള്ളിലുദിക്കുന്ന ദൈവീകസ്വരങ്ങളോടു മാത്രം ഉറക്കെ ആമ്മേൻ പറയുന്നതിലൂടെ നാം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിന്റേതായി മാറുന്നുണ്ട്.
ഹൃദയങ്ങൾ പരിശോധിക്കുന്ന ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുന്നിൽ നിഷ്കളങ്കരും നിഷ്കപടരും വിശ്വസ്തരുമായി കാണപ്പെടുക എന്നത് സ്വർഗ്ഗീയ അംഗീകാരത്തിനുള്ള അടിസ്ഥാന യോഗ്യതയാണല്ലോ.
ഉള്ളിൽ ദൈവം ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ടാണ് എങ്കിൽ, ലോകം ദ്വേഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളട്ടെ. സ്വർഗ്ഗീയമായ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ചെയ്തതിന്റെ പേരിലെങ്കിൽ ലോകം ദ്വേഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളട്ടെ. ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നവർ ലോകത്തിന്റെ സ്വന്തമായതുകൊണ്ടാണ് അവർ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ലോകത്തിന്റേതായി ജീവിച്ചിട്ട് ദൈവം കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്താൻ ഇടയാകാതെ വരട്ടേ എന്നതായിരിക്കട്ടേ വിശ്വാസയാത്രയിലെ മനസ്സ്.

“Called & Chosen”
A vocation is always a dynamic response to God’s call from a place of freedom and love.
I thank God for my priesthood and pray that He will send more labourers into his harvest. It’s an anniversary; 16 years since I was ordained to the Priesthood. The ordained vocation is a gift from God that, paradoxically, comes with a cost: complete submission to his will. It’s been a journey of blessings and buffetings; times of enormous joy, pleasure, and satisfaction, challenges overcome, opportunities taken, and lives touched and transformed in both ordinary and extraordinary ways. These are indelible memories that I am reliving today with unspeakable gratitude to the Lord. Dear Friends, thank you for your prayers and care especially on various significant occasions in my life.
As I celebrate 16 years as a priest of Christ’s people, I find my life and the pastoral ministry to be full of joy, more than I could have ever imagined. “The ministry of Jesus Christ and the priesthood is the air I breathe,” and my desire is to preach nothing else except Jesus Christ and him crucified (1 Cor. 2:2). St. Padre Pio said; “it would be easier for the world to survive without the sun than to do without Holy Mass”. Lord, help me always to be aware of the great gift of your mercy. Lord, inspire me to follow the examples of St. Chavara & St. John Vianney. Amen
