Life on my bike just makes life better! I’ve been struggling with serious p***c symphysis dysfunction. It started flaring up around 33 weeks pregnant and after getting a little 🤧 I had to slow down then my symptoms got even worse! So must so that I could hardly lift my leg! After numerous chiro and physio appointments I thought hey maybe I should just ride my bike again. And it has made such a difference, I did also add in kegal and some core / hip / mobility / breath work and think it’s all gotten me to the point where I can kinda move without pain again. Growing tiny humans is magical but man its a journey, heading towards 37 weeks now so the finish line is getting closer by the day.

Have to admit I miss fitting into my clothes 🤣 34 weeks down , 6 weeks to go. Reminiscing the good old days when I did at 20weeks preggos … and there I was like wow look at my belly! 😱🤣 if only I knew ! Not sure what the next 6 weeks wil hold but def have a new respect and appreciation for all the mommas out there! You are amazing and I am proud of you all. ❤️👊🏼

It’s been a rough couple of weeks so taking a minute to be still & grateful for what I have and how far I’ve come.

Easy hikes with family fills the soul ❤️. Looking forward to getting healthy and riding bikes again though but this is a treat 🫶😁 we have such a magical country and it’s been great to experience it from a different perspective. Pregnancy has forced me to slow down slightly but enjoying the new perspective, can’t believe we are meeting our son on 12 short weeks 😍😅, is it just me or is anyone else confused that it’s already April 🤣.

For the other half of the folks who’s busy with their final week heading into the be clever, you’ve done the work … it’s time to easy up the volume and get fresh for that big stage race happening in almost a week! 😝 Me and little baba will steer clear of crowded rides for now 😉👍🏼🙌🏼 but supporting you all the way!

This weekend was amazing, filled with good rides and fabulous company! Remember my next ride is happening tomorrow evening… night ride starting 18.30 in Durbanville. Come hang out and enjoy some of the magical trails has to offer. We will do the same as last month, ~23km on the faircape loop with about 400m elevation. Nothing too serious with about a 25km/h average speed
