Halim Academy of Sitar presents
2024 on Sunday, 7th Jan - a music festival in memory of Legendary Sitar player and Padma Bhushan awardee Late Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan, the pioneer of the Jafferkhani Baaj in Sitar playing.
Taal Yogi Pt. Suresh Talwalkar will lead a unique ensemble - Taal Yatra - at the Festival. He will also be conferred with the Jafferkhani Samman (award instituted for excellence and contribution in the field of Indian Classical Music).
The festival will also feature Vocal Recital by leading vocalist of Kirana Gharana, Shri Jayateerth Mevundi.
All music lovers are welcome.
Tickets can be collected at the venue 5:30 pm onwards.

This was followed by a Vocal Recital by Ustad Raja Miyan.
Ustadji presented Raag Puriya, Khem Kalyan followed by a Dadra. He was accompanied by Shri Sudhanshu Gharpure on Harmonium and Shri Praveen Karkare on Tabla.
