FCAIT, GLSU signs MOU with Techify Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
GLS University's Faculty of Computer Applications & IT (FCAIT) achieved an important milestone on 11th March 2024, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Techify Solutions Pvt Ltd.
Mr Zankhan, a prominent Talent Acquisition Professional from Techify Solutions Pvt. Ltd. commenced the program with a presentation on IT Industry Trends. His insights into current trends and prospects in the IT business were invaluable to the professors and students.
Following the informative session, the official exchanged the MOU agreements. Dr Savita Gandhi, Dean, FCAIT-PG, Dr. Harshal Arolkar, Professor & Head and Dr. Devarshi Mehta, Associate Professor and Placement Coordinator, FCAIT-PG represented GLS University during the exchange.
The MOU is a joint effort between FCAIT, GLS University and Techify Solutions Pvt Ltd to improve educational opportunities, boost research efforts, and encourage industry-academia contact. This collaboration will provide students and faculty members with exposure to real-world industry practices, internships, and prospective career opportunities.
This historic event demonstrates their shared commitment to driving innovation, fostering excellence, and nurturing growth in the dynamic fields of computer applications and engineering technology, thereby providing students with the skills and knowledge required for success in the changing technological landscape.

In the sports competition organized by Pandit Deendayal Energy University-PDEU, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Riddhi Gondaliya, MCA Semester II of GLS University got first place in the shot put and discus throw and got the gold medal in both the sports.

A seminar on "Awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and its Prevention" was held by the Faculty of Computer Applications & IT on October 13, 2023, for MCA students. Dr. Satya Gupta from Marengo CIMS Hospital's cardiology department was the guest. The lecture was attended by 250 students in total. Dr. Prerna Agrawal oversaw the seminar's planning.

The speaker's opening remarks focused on the significance of preserving cardiac health at a young age. He also discussed myths and signs that can lead to sudden cardiac arrest. He also went through how to recognize Sudden Cardiac Arrest and how to perform CPR to treat and avoid it. He also discussed the reasons Indians are more likely to experience heart attacks at a young age.

On a dummy model, the team also demonstrated how to do CPR on someone who is experiencing a sudden cardiac arrest. The young students were made aware of the importance of performing CPR on someone nearby who is experiencing a cardiac arrest.

Students conversed with the speaker, and he satisfactorily addressed all of their questions. The keynote address at the end of the session encouraged the younger generation to practice regular dos and don'ts in their daily lives to maintain good health and fitness. The team also handed the students free t-shirts and complimentary coupons for a basic health checkup at CIMS Hospital as a gift of thanks.
