Our Story
Desi Silk is an imagination from Rk Fabrics,Varanasi.
After migrating from Sindh(Pakistan) to India after the 1947 partition, Late Shri Kanhaiyalal Rawtani founded a dyeing and bleaching company based in Mumbai during the early 1950s. Few years later, he ,along with his family moved to Varanasi / Benaras where he started a textile trading company from scratch . With hard work and blessings from the almighty , Rk Fabrics was founded in the year 1958 . Over the years , Rk Fabrics has been synonymous with the banarasi handloom industry by providing varieties of handloom products manufactured in Banaras. We, at Rk Fabrics , believe in continuous effort and innovation aligning with the consumers demands. Now, with more than over 60 years of expertise in the field, Rk Fabrics is currently being run by Late Shri Kanhaiya Lal’s son , Mr. Rajendra Rawtani.
