Our Story

BIRRA derives from the Arabic word BIRR meaning everything good without limitations, a name that echoes the splendour of the Arabic culture; the indelible history of a society that has enriched the West with its knowledge, customs and architecture.

Following in the footsteps of Haji Siddik Batki, who was a trader by profession but had great passion for exotic and mysterious fragrances. He tracked down the aromas that had rendered Arabian perfumes so alluring and unmistakable in the early 1960s, the third generation of Haji Siddik Batki, now at the helm, have complied with the foundations laid down by their grandfather and have given name to his passion and this was the birth of BIRRA Fragrances.

Inspired by such a glorious heritage, and fascinated by the Arabian culture of perfume usage, the Indian brand BIRRA pays tribute to the legacy of Haji Siddik Batki and his love for perfumery.
