Eid ul-fitr .
Eid Mubarak
Meethi Eid
Sadaqah al-fitr
It is a day of rejoicing and bliss, blessing and peace, to reflect and ponder. Most of all, it is a day to celebrate together.
Ugadi or Yugadi, also known as Samvatsarādi, is the New Year's Day according to the Hindu Calendar and is celebrated in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka in India. It is festively observed in these regions on the first day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar month of Chaitra.
Ugadi pachadi is a mixture that has six different tastes sweet, sour, salt, pungent, spice and bitter. It signifies that life is a mixture of happiness, sadness, anger, disgust, fear and surprise. Sweet taste comes from jaggery & it symbolizes happiness.
Holi, the festival of colours is finally here and people are rejoicing with the arrival of this festival. It is the festive day to end and rid oneself of past errors, to end conflicts by meeting others, a day to forget and forgive. The spring season, during which the weather changes, is believed to cause viral fever and cold. The playful throwing of natural coloured powders, called gulal has a medicinal significance: the colours are traditionally made of neem, kumkum, haldi, bilva, and other medicinal herbs suggested by Āyurvedic doctors.

Every year India celebrates January 26 as Republic Day because it was on this day that the Constitution of India came into effect in 1950 and India became a sovereign nation free from British rule.
'Truth alone triumphs', pronounced [Satyameva Jayate] is a part of a mantra from the Hindu scripture Mundaka Upanishad. Following the independence of India, it was adopted as the national motto of India on 26 January 1950, the day India became a republic.
Makar Sankranti or Uttarayan or Maghi or simply Sankranti, also known in Bangladesh and West Bengal as Poush Sankranti, and in Nepal as Maghe Sankranti, samkranti here means ‘transfer’, this day is considered as the transition day of Sun into the Capricorn. Celebrations are Kite flying, bonfires, fairs, surya puja in river, feast, arts, dance, socialization, Cow Pooja
Bhogi is the first day of the harvest festival and comes preceding Makar Sankranthi. It is widely celebrated in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Telangana. Old and derelict items are thrown in the fire to concentrate on new things that lead to transformation as a part of the ritual. Bhogi is celebrated during Makar Sankranthi i.e. when the sun changes its position from southern to northern hemisphere. When it comes to spiritual significance most of the people dedicate it to Lord Indra the God of Rain. Farmers worship him as he is expected to bring prosperity and happiness into their lives with a good harvest.
Honoring the month's namesake Janus — the Roman god of beginnings whose two faces allowed him to look simultaneously into the past and the future — Caesar instituted January 1 as the first day of the year. On this newly-dated holiday, the Romans celebrated not only by offering sacrifices to Janus, but also by exchanging gifts, attending parties and decorating their homes with laurel branches. The New Year is celebrated in different ways all around the world, but typical New Year's traditions include everything from toasting with champagne and eating foods thought to bestow good luck to making resolutions for the coming year — a practice that's actually thought to have originated from the ancient Babylonians!
Eventually, the tradition evolved over time to actually choosing who you wanted the year's good luck to be shared with.
Christmas is celebrated on December 25th and is both a sacred religious holiday and a worldwide cultural and commercial phenomenon. Popular customs include exchanging gifts, decorating Christmas trees, attending church, sharing meals with family and friends and, of course, waiting for Santa Claus to arrive.
