Music is another of Ranjana’s great loves. Whether it’s discovering new artists or attending live performances, she immerses herself in the rich tapestry of melodies and rhythms.

But Ranjana’s thirst for knowledge doesn’t stop there. She is soon set to pursue her Ph.D./Doctorate, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to self-growth and academic excellence. An MBA graduate from the prestigious BIT Mesra, her educational journey continues to inspire us all.

Today we’re celebrating our superstar Sangeetha completing her first year as part of the Mannheim family! 🥳

Sangeetha brings valuable knowledge to her role, with a background in Environmental Science. She puts this expertise and training into practice daily, helping implement sustainable initiatives here at the brewery.

Beyond her skills, Sangeetha also contributes a warm spirit and willingness to go the extra mile. She consistently steps up to take on new challenges and support her colleagues however she can. The care and heart she puts into her work is so appreciated.

Meet Chef Renjith - our resident master of South Indian cuisine with over 30 years of culinary experience under his belt.

Even as a young chef just starting out in the 1980s, Chef Renjith had a thirst for discovering new dishes and techniques. He travelled all across Kerala learning traditional recipes from the locals, who were always eager to share their knowledge with such an enthusiastic student.

With this treasure trove of culinary wisdom, Chef Renjith then brought his talents to Mumbai’s bustling restaurant scene. His dedication and skill quickly impressed the legendary hotelier Captain C.P. Krishnan Nair. Though Renjith joined The Leela as a humble commis chef, he rapidly rose through the ranks thanks to his mastery of South Indian flavors.

Chefs authentic Malabar-style dishes like kozhi varatharacha curry, fish curry, and Thalasheri biriyani were beloved by foreign dignitaries and heads of state alike. In fact, all the favorite meals of Captain Nair himself were Chef Renjith’s preparations. Signature items like his appams, golden fried prawns, and tender coconut payasam showcase Renjith’s specialty in local cuisine.

Over his decades-long tenure, Chef Renjith represented Indian cuisine at prestigious international events in Rome, Moscow, and beyond. He’s constantly perfecting his craft - whether picking up new continental techniques or collaborating on cookbooks.

For a year now Chef Renjith has been showcasing all this knowledge and passion at The Mannheim Craft Brewery kitchens. He still cooks each dish with careful attention and creative flair, just like those early days spent travelling through Kerala. When you taste Chef’s food, you’re tasting a lifetime of culinary curiosity and expertise in every bite! Join us in congratulating Chef on his 1st year work anniversary.

Join us in extending heartfelt congratulations to Chef Golden Samara, who marks his one-year anniversary with us this month! We recently had the pleasure of catching up with him in his impeccably pressed uniform, just before he embarked on another sunny Monday service, to reflect on his remarkable journey thus far.

Originating from Uttarakhand, Golden courageously ventured beyond traditional expectations by leaving his village of Pokhara to pursue his culinary aspirations in Bangalore 14 years ago. His path eventually led him to Mannheim Craft Brewery, where he found not only a workplace but a second home.

Despite his relatively brief tenure of just one year, Golden approaches each day with unwavering enthusiasm and dedication. In his own words, “It feels like I only joined yesterday.” Mannheim Craft Brewery provides him with the space and resources to explore and innovate continuously. Golden’s commitment to pushing culinary boundaries is evident in signature dishes like our Awadhi Mutton Kurma and Burmese Khow Suey, which reflect his flair for blending tradition with innovation.

Golden’s deep appreciation for his colleagues underscores the collaborative spirit within the Mannheim kitchen. He cherishes the bonds forged with fellow chefs and fondly recalls moments shared during annual staff gatherings—a testament to the close-knit community fostered across both our outlets.
