Greetings from Equal Opportunity Cell and Enabling Unit, Hansraj College 🌼

2nd October is celebrated as the birth anniversary of the father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi known across the world for his non-violent philosophy of passive resistance, he started his activism in South Africa followed by India.
He advocated the ideals of truth(satya) and non-violence(ahimsa) to achieve the ultimate truth of self-realization.
“Non-violence is the greatest force at the disposal of mankind. It is mightier than the mightiest weapon of destruction devised by the ingenuity of man” is a piece of wisdom by him and it correctly summarizes his views.

Shri. Lal Bahadur Shastri our beloved "Babuji" was born on 2nd October 1904.
He was the second Prime Minister of India.
He propagated the vision that the balance between the agricultural sector and industries can only bring progress to the country.

The slogan he coined, "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan" clearly delineates his perspective and concern for farmers and soldiers.
On the occasion of his birth anniversary let's enforce these ideas into our minds and upgrade our vision.🌟

EOC and EU, Hansraj College pay their tributes👏👏 to the great leaders for preaching and promoting the practice of non-violence and love for every human being irrespective of cast and creed.

There is no lovelier way to thank god for your sight than by giving a helping hand to those who really need it and becoming inclusive about them. Donated eyes are used to restore vision in people suffering from corneal blindness. 🌎
Ascertaining the cognisance of the same, we at EOC in association with Saksham Indraprastha are planning an Eye donation awareness campaign and the productive March for the same.⭐️
The details of the event are as follows:-
Date: 7 September 2022
Time: 12:30 PM
Note: The March will start from Science Block till the College hostel gate.

You all are invited to make this event a great intellectual success.

We can give the gift of light by a simple step of eye donation because the gift of vision is the best that you can give to humanity. Not only by donating, but also thorough understanding of its epistemology is essential.
Taking the cognisance of the same fundamental, we at EOC with the association of Saksham Indraprastha are organising an “Eye donation awareness session” with Dr. Balram Pani as the resource person and the details of the session are as follows:-
Date- 07 September 2022
Time- 3:00 PM onwards
Venue- Prem Bhushan Gyan Prakash Chopra Seminar room, Hansraj college.

So, let the lamp pass on and you all are invited in this intellectual journey.

कृष्णं वंदे जगत गुरुं: 🙏🏻

Equal opportunity cell and Enabling Unit courteously wishes everyone, A very happy Krishna Janamasthami. ✨

A day which is observed on Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Bhadrapad. Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated every year not only to 😇observe the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna but also for the welcome relief Nand-wasi attained from the crutches of Kansa- it’s the holistic celebration of Good over evil- justice over injustice. It’s the day of Arjuna’s motivator, Rukmani’s consort, Yudhisthira’s advisor but above all, he’s the friend of every soul. 🦚

May the blissful tones from the Krishna-lila infuses bliss and positivity in every realm of life. 😃✨

Greetings from Equal Opportunity Cell and Enabling Unit, Hansraj College! 🌼

There is nothing stronger and more beautiful than the bond between siblings. A bond of togetherness, a thread that binds their lives together. ✨

Rakshabandhan is a popular Hindu festival celebrated across various parts of India. Sisters showcase their love by tying a rakhi around their brother’s wrist. Brothers solemnly vow to protect their sisters through thick and thin signifying their eternal bond of love. 😇

There are many historical legends centering around Raksha Bandhan like Lord Krishna and Draupadi's story and Yama and Yamuna's story or the story of Rani Karnavati and Emperor Humayun.

In urban India, where families are increasingly nuclear, the festival has become more symbolic, but continues to be highly popular.

We at EOC and EU wish you a very happy rakshabandhan! 🌟
