4 Days To Go; Teachers' Day 2024

This year's teachers' day will be celebrated at Samtse Dzongkhag Football Ground. For the first time in history, all the educators in the Dzongkhag will come together to live the special day. Perhaps, a much awaited and much deserved get together moment for all the educators residing far and near in the district. Around 1000 plus attendees will join for the day.

The day will be marked on the theme "Honoring the Royal Vision, Empowering Educators, Transforming the Future." The theme aligns with the farsighted royal vision of a Mindfulness City, the Royal Kasho, and the remembrance of His Majesty the Third Druk Gyalpo, as well as honoring the dedication of fellow educators thus far.

Samtse Dzongkhag Sherig Bhutan

Glimpses from the inter house volleyball and throwball competition which was played among three houses that is Jigme, Namgyal and Wangchuck. Through this match, they learn how to collaborate with their team members which ultimately leads to physical, cognitive and social development.
The winning team of this game is Namgyal House from the boys and Jigme House from girls. Congratulations to both the winners.

Driglam Namzha session every Tuesday morning. The topic for today's session was on how to prostrate using kabney and rachu.

Team Chongzhu PS marked the day of International Zero Waste Day on the theme "Youth for Zero Waste", by organizing the cleaning campaign in the community and school surroundings.
On this day, our students promised to follow a clean plate policy, zero junks and being mindful of their own waste and proper utilization of papers provided by the school. Thank you to all the students and teachers for creating wonderful awareness and impact in the society.

Conducted Annual School Rimdro on 29/03/2024 for the well being of all the students and staff in the coming years.

On March 28, 2024, we successfully completed our first mock drill. The primary goal of this mock drill was to assure the safety and preparedness of our children and staff. This drill will allow us to practice evacuation procedures and emergency measures. Our child's safety is our main priority, and these drills are crucial in preparing for any unforeseen circumstances. These drills improve readiness, coordination, and resilience in the case of a real earthquake, reducing the number of fatalities.

Successfully purchased the needed materials and games & sports equipment such as toilet brushes, dustbins, footballs and shuttle c**k from the budget raised from conducting various events in previous year. These equipment and materials play a vital role for the enhancement of physical development and healthy lifestyle.
Moreover, Chongzhu PS would like to wholeheartedly thank the Venture for generously contributing 1 volleyball and 4 corner flags to the school. Looking forward to your continued support.

Uniting parents and teachers in the First PTM of academic year, 2024. Chiwog tshogpa, parents and all the school staff convene during the occasion with a mindset of enhancing the student's health, academic excellence, relationship building and smooth functioning of school through the community's support.
Some of the key points highlighted during the meeting are school timetable, mentor and mentee, student's health, school uniform, school and scout fee and school annual rimdro.
Lastly the meeting was concluded with the election of school tshogpa from the five villages and volunteering in re-maintenance of shool's water source.

Chongzhu Primary School is thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest students in Class PP. The celebration unfolded with prayers and the offering of a butter lamb. We would like to extend our gratitude to the parents for enhancing the excitement of the celebration.

🏕️ Our recent adventure in the great outdoors was not just about knots and fires; it was a mindful retreat for our students! 📚✨ Designed to provide a refreshing break and prepare minds for the upcoming annual exams, the Scout Camp brought together nature, learning, and camaraderie. Kudos to our scouts for embracing the outdoor spirit and gearing up for academic success! 🌟

Annual Sports Day, 28/10/2023 was successfully completed with the help of all the teachers, students and the parents.
The event was graced by Chiwog tshogpa and school board members. The main motive of conducting such events is to enhance the student's ability to work in teams, physical stability and build many other skills. We would like to also extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every individual that is engaged in making this event a productive one without which such kind of event wouldn't have been possible.

Chongzhu Primary School celebrated International Peace Day. On this special day, students showcased their talents through drawing, writing poems, and essays. The school recognized the outstanding contributions by awarding certificates to the best writer and the best artist. Furthermore, the CPS community inaugurated the Scout Mandala and organized a series of engaging and enjoyable activities for both students and teachers to participate in. This event fostered a sense of unity and harmony within the school community while promoting the ideals of peace and creativity.

Inter-House Football Competition, 2023 with the intention to provide with opportunities and learning experiences such as team work, communication and selflessness.

Keeping alive the indigenous game; Taag Dha Nor. Not only will this game enhance their critical thinking but also the need to be mindful of the steps that they take in order to win. Thus valuing every steps that we take in life in order to be valued.

We organized a cleaning camping event to celebrate World Scarf Day, aiming to raise awareness about environmental conservation and the significance of the scout scarf. Participants donned their scout scarves as a symbol of unity and commitment to making a positive impact on the world around them. Through such initiatives, we strive to instill a sense of environmental stewardship and promote the values upheld by the scout movement.
