Jadavpur University- School of Environmental Studies

Jadavpur university came into existence in Dec 24th,1955. The School of environmental studies inside JU was founded in 1989 by Dr. Dipankar Chakraborti.

This deptt was the first to highlight the problem of arsenic groundwater in the state of West Bengal.
